The critter must be one of the following small to medium-sized mammals (or a variation of one like a flying squirrel or pine marten):

  • Groundhog
  • Hare
  • Koala

Please let me know if I have forgotten any small to medium-sized mammals that you would like to see on the list. That is one postcard in total to be sent out. The postcard should be sent naked (without an envelope).

Rules are that you have to be in the group, have no unexplained or recent ones, and have your profile filled out.

Mink = weasel??

MrsAnnaSue 08/ 6/2010 #

@ellie1200 - Thank you for the question, I do not know if they are the same so I updated the list to include mink!

What about a koala?

MrsAnnaSue 08/11/2010 #

@catestalkergc - Thank you for your question. I included the koala and a few more small to medium sized mammals.

A koala and a possum are marsupials! : )

ellie1200 08/13/2010 #

Yep, they're marsupials. They're also mammals. :o)

I don't think minks and weasels are exactly the same animal. I was asking if they were similar enough to be considered the same. Now that it's on the list as well, I don't suppose it matters. Thanks! :o)

Cool! This will be a fun one! Great idea!

What about baby bears? I know a grown bear is too big, but I have a great baby bear postcard that needs a good home & thought it could not hurt to ask :).

By the way, if you like this idea I am hosting a chicken postcard swap in honor of National Chicken Month which should be fun: http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/71034

@Onyx - thank you for your question. So the selection of the critters is being done based on size - small to medium, rather than any scientific method. I think in this spirit, bears would be considered on the medium to large size and that would include their cubs.

@MrsAnnaSue thanks for the clarification, much appreciated!

Found one! Looking forward to it :).
