What's a book thong?

I'm not the organizer of this swap, but I can explain what a book thong is. A book thong is long and narrow and basically fits in the crease of the page and usually has beads, charms or some embellishment that sticks out the top of the page. It's kind of like a piece of pretty jewelry for your book:))) These can be made with cord, crocheted chain, ribbon, etc. I have never made these before, but I think they are usually made so that they have beads and embellishments on the top and bottom so that they can be seen on both ends of the book but then again I think some people make them with only the beads showing on the top....I think??? Someone correct me if I'm wrong!
