Show and Tell

One of my favorite days in elementary school was Show and Tell! I loved bringing in my most prized possessions to show off to my class.

For this swap, you will receive (1) one partner to show and tell about (5) five things! It can be anything you'd like to share about yourself. You can show and tell your favorite possessions, hobbies, or other details about your life!

Your package or envelope should contain five physical representations (show) and a letter explaining them (tell).

Some ideas on how to "show":

• Postcard of somewhere you like to visit, or a favorite vacation
• Pictures or drawings of the item (or person!) you want to "share"
• A crafted item of one of your favorite hobbies
• Business card
• A sample of your favorite tea
• A recipe card containing your "famous" recipe
• Copy of your favorite book or magazine
• Menu from a sentimental restaurant

That list is just examples, you can send anything you think represents what you're showing off!

Your letter should explain why each item is important to you! For example, share the story of that restaurant, or that vacation. Talk about the picture of your child or your prized possession. Tell your partner about your job and why you love (or hate) it! Explain why you love your favorite hobby, and how you got into it.

The letter is the most important part of this swap, as your five representations will mean nothing to your partner if you don't help them understand why you wanted to share them!

Due to the variance of weight in items people will be sending, this swap will be USA only. Feel free to start an international swap if you'd like.

I don't have any children, but I'd LOVE to see someone start this swap up for swappers children to do. I think it'd be a blast for them to share with other children! :)
