Handmade Flower Hello

My 2010 New Year's resolution was to not buy any store-bought cards because I have so many supplies to make my own. Well, here it is May and I confess; my good intentions have fallen by the wayside. Thus, I thought the best way to get me creating again was to host a few card swaps!

In this swap, you will have 2 partners and you will show off your creative talents by making a flower themed card for each of them. PLEASE don't slap stickers on your cards and call them done. Make your cards stand out by adding images, layers, 3D embellishments, beads, sewing, using fabric in some way, etc. Be creative. There are lots of possibilities when it comes to decorating with flowers. The swap image I used is my own creation. My husband took the photo, and I added my own handmade bead & wire embellishment to it. Have fun! Please make it something you would love to receive.

This is a card to say hello and brighten their day. You are not making it for them to send, but rather for them to receive and enjoy. Please write a short (or long) message inside.

Please also decorate your envelopes in a flower theme (stickers are ok on the envelopes). You could also rubber stamp, paint, draw, etc. It could be a handmade envelope that you made out of flowery paper.

Newbies are welcome with filled out profiles. I will check everyone before assigning partners. Please make this fun for everyone and don't flake!!
