Description:

hello, I wasn't too sure what to call this but the title is there. UPDATE SIZE/WEIGHT .....175grams minium BUT can be sent via second/first class as large letter or packet that is down to you and your shapes you are sending THE swap is send to your partner an envie/package of anything, completely senders choice.

You may have unwanted but useable items/things/gifts.........if you think it belongs in the bin then that is where to put it. If you think someone else may be able to make use/recycle/enjoy then send it on. It may be you have items that just not into that atc/bookmark/stamp/fb/postcard/colour of pen/pad/ribbon/wool. examples are: bookmarkers, postcards, used postage stamps, fabric pieces, ribbon, wool, small papers, stickers, dottee, agirumi, beads,

The idea of this swap is send it on to your partner, they can then use it,create, add to it, cut it up and use for a project.

small things can easily be used on atc's but you yourself may not be making them at the moment, or your craft area is groaning with stamped images on papers. you get the idea.

PLEASE send a message to your partner with the envie/package this must be a greeting card/postcard/notelet/atc that you write a hello message to them on.

SO fill up the envie, surely you dont need all of those .......put a few of them in as well, ADD the message on your choice of card and send it. THAT is the swap.

When you sign up for the swap you will be receiving an envie/package full of anything and a Greeting message from your partner. the contents could be wide/interesting/useful/or a little strange and you might need to think out of the box to use the items. BUT the swap is as it says( hopefully all is clear) and remember to rate on the Actual swap.

have fun looking throu those hidden items, the ones in the pile,in that box in the corner, under the lid that you haven't opened for ages. You may rediscover things you had forgotten to use or that might be what you send out!

thank you for reading all this, please join in as it will be interesting. NOTE the long send date so you have time to turn a few drawers out.

What size envelope or number of item etc... do we have to send? I could fill a huge box up of un wanted things, strange things etc...

Can these also be used things (like rubber stamps that I've used but don't use anymore or decided they weren't for me)

Hi Samash, I'm sure it would be OK for you to send a huge box of unwanted items, send to ................. Carol Barker, 163 Linacre Road ha ha!

I agree that it would help to have a rough idea of size of envelope. I'm sure you can send used things but Merlinda will need to confirm that of course. xx

samash 05/ 3/2010 #

@pearly163 oh thats so tempting let me start filling that box :P.... I think the idea is to send used things because your clearing out a bit but I wanted to be sure :D

merlinda 05/ 4/2010 #

OK, anysize envie, package, box (if you want) leave it to sender to decide if you need to pass on that much i can always set another swap !!!

i see Pearly163 was quick in writing her addy!! i like it .

Yes to items that have been used like rubber stamps, no half chewed sweets please i draw the line there. As long as you think it ok to send, send.I for one would not turn down rubber stamps used or otherwise, but would find it hard to part with mine!

YOU could always sort a swap for particular things for your particular things if needed. say your stamps for what you into now. it's just a thought. i hope this helps. IF WE really need an envie size or weight i can set one, just message me. thanks for comments.

I was actually thinking about this and thought I'd buy the smallest box from the post office (for me its £1.29) as it will be easir to fit things in as well as not to crush everything and it will be safe.

Rubberstamps was an example but when I also thought about that I do have the odd ones that I hardly use/like or received in grab bags so have duplicates.

As for half chewed sweets :P.... well I'd never have thought of that. It could be like that old wringleys advert where you have half for yourself and give half to your partner :P. Ok I'm going to sign up and hopefully more will follow :D.

Your swaps are so bad for me as I want to sign up for all of them but have promised myself to try and limit what I sign up for,

merlinda 05/ 5/2010 #

glad you are happy that the swaps are looking inviting, i could always run something again or simular if members are happy. It is helpful getting the positive feedback. At the moment i have an envie and as i pass it i put something in it.......will sort and package properly when the time is nearer.

on the rubber stamps you could always stamps a few images and place those in the envie, that way you dont lose your stamps but you get to share. i like to share, and enjoy things. all the best.

I'll see when the time comes as I actually need to look through my things and see what I want to pass on so I may not get a box in the end. I thought I'd better say this incase someone has me as a partner a expects a box and rubberstamps since like I said I don't know what I'll send.

merlinda 05/ 7/2010 #

no worries, we will all have suprises when we get our swaps through that is half the fun of this type of swap. plenty of time for more to sign up...... :)

This is a lovely idea, i know a lot of people send bits and bobs that they can spare as extra, and that makes such a lovely surprise when you were just expecting something like an atc and you get extras, but a whole swap of this type would be fab. and as merlinda says stamping a few images that you have rubber stamps of would be a great thing to receive, i dont often get a chance to use stamps in my work because where i live they are very expensive, and the one or two i have are way overused now, but if anyone wants to send on used stamps that would be great!

merlinda 05/14/2010 #

I have extended the date , as i would like to know what size people would like to swap? what size? or what gram weight? or max postage rate? can you give ma some ideas of what you would like then i will set it up.......thank you.

merlinda 05/18/2010 #

for some reason it will not let me edit to add a size at the moment so i will do this another day. anyone a size or weight idea they would like to share? i will check here before i edit the details. thank you
