Description:

I thought it would be great fun to create a Journal Jar and we could all supply our own jar but we could trade journal prompts.

So for this swap, all you have to do is send 10 journal prompts to 2 partners. The journal prompts can be all for Christmas, or you can expand the variety to include all four seasons (Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter). They can be fun, serious, thought provoking, it is sender's choice. The prompts can be typed or handwritten. It would be great to distinguish different themes by colored paper and or images. You will be sending out a total of 20 prompts, 10 to each partner.

Cut your journal prompts into slips and fold them in half or in quarters.

The journal prompts are to be snail mailed (regular postage). Remember to include your swap-bot name and the name of this swap so your partners know who to rate.

Rules are that you have to be in the group, have no unexplained or recent ones, and have your profile filled out.

what is a prompts

@warlickbetty - Great question! Many people write daily in journals or blogs and are looking for inspiration. A journal prompt is a folded piece of paper that may contain a sentence to complete, a question to respond to, or even the writing of poetry on any topic. The purpose is to inspire the reader to create a new journal or blog entry. So some examples for this swap might be:

  • What's your earliest holiday memory?
  • What is your favorite season and why?
  • Write a limerick about something that occurs in the spring.
  • Where is your favorite summer vacation place and why?

I hope this answers your question.

Well SHOOT! I went and typed up all of my "prompts" and then came back and read again, and it says 10 per partner. LOL

Sooooo.... my partners are going to actually get 20 each :) If that is ok
