So, most of you have probably at one time or another received this Is Hell Exothermic or Endothermic email, but it still cracks me up everytime I read it.

I'm a Christian and I do not find this offensive at all...rather amusing actually. I'd like to join but I would be approaching it from the position that Hell does exist...I don't want to get rated poorly because of my faith...

I participated in a swap like this one a few months ago over at the Dunce Corner Group. Gosh was that thing fun to make. @GoingTwinsane I think you should try it..Hell is only what you make it, which could be any situation here on earth.

I want to see if I have time to fit this one in my schedule. thumbs up But I'm super keen on this. I'm already seeing dark red cardstock with yellow flames flickering on the edges. Hahahaha.....

Well...I'm watching. The only part of the description that I found sort of offensive was the statement about Hell not being real...otherwise I don't see the idea being offensive at all. @beadeful .I like those cards! Very nice! I think I might join...will contemplate it a bit longer...

I DID do the first one and I loved it. Think I'm going to pass on this one cause the ticket I received from @redsockz will never be surpassed!! Just commenting to note that this is a great swap idea and one you can get crazy creative with!

@GoingTwinsane that's why the disclaimer is there "RELIGIOUS PEOPLE MAY BE OFFENDED BY THE CONTENT ---BELOW". But if you were to get rated poorly because of your beliefs, then you got a poor partner to begin with and it would be against the rules for them to rate you poorly just because of that. Being a Pagan, I personally don't believe in Hell. But it won't stop me from participating a swap like this and I wouldn't never rate my partner lower because of their beliefs.

@CajunLady I saw the disclaimer. I interpreted the host's disclaimer as the entire swap being offensive. I don't find it offensive at all as a Christian, just found that particular statement rather absolute...not so much offensive although I can see why some more conservative Christians might find it offensive-I just don't. I think it's a neat swap idea.

You're right, being rated poorly because of differing beliefs would suck...I just don't know if I want to take the risk is all...I am proud of my 5 rating average and would hate to see it spoiled because my work reflected my beliefs (I pictured a "ticket to hell but I'm not invited" sort of thing) Perhaps I am being a bit paranoid... regardless I do like the idea...very creative!

@GoingTwinsane I honestly don't think it's a risk you have to worry about! Should it happen, I'm sure admin would be more than willing to help you out!

Would it help if i put something in the details like "not to be rated by religious preferece." Let me know

@Lavender72004 Hear me out her - I was brought up in the "Sanctified" church down south and still maintain my beliefs. I'm not offended by the swap as a whole, but have a bitter taste with the statement you make in your description - "The reason I'm making this swap...that if Hell does exist (it doesn't)..." That is pretty much an unsubstantiated statement, and well it does appear to be pretty absolute with no if's, an's, or but's to the beliefs of others.

I'm just sayin'...

Yeah, I agree with @beadeful It makes me worry that if I put my own spin on it because it wouldn't coincide with that statement.

@Lavendar72004 I think a statement about not rating based upon a differing religious or spiritual beliefs would help and maybe even something about everyone being welcome to participate regardless of religious affiliation (or lack thereof)...

I hope you don't feel picked apart...I was hesitant to say anything at all because I didn't want you to feel I was attacking you or the idea...I think you are being very sensitive to all and that shows that you are a thoughtful hostess!! :)

Just to clarify, do you make 2 tickets for each partner (total of 4) or two tickets and send one of them to each person (total of 2)?
