Kawaii Stationary Swap

nice idea but I don't have 30 various kinds :(

Doubles are fine just limit them to 10 or less so there is some variety.

neat.. do envies and matching paper count as one or two items? and what about small memos? they count as one? I"m looking to get more variety in my letter writting supplies. so this will be fun!

Each piece counts as one no matter the size or item, that way it makes it easier to meet quota, so envelope counts as one, the matching sheet counts as one, everything counts as one :) But I do expect some common sence with it, 30 mini tini weenie memo sheets just would not cut it, have variety please.

He he, just went through my stash and I think I can send 30+ unique sheets - so my partner will get variety :) (Of course there are some memo sheets from the same pads, but all have a different design :))

I'm a newbie, and I THINK I know what a "Kawaii" item would be . . . But just in case, will you define this for me? Sanrio, etc.?

Kawaii is the Japanese word for cute, it has become a prominent aspect of Japanese popular culture, its used almost everywhere, where here in North America the "Cute" things are usually reserved for kids, in Japan even the govt uses Kawaii in their publications. Basically if it comes from Japan and is cute its Kawaii. The two largest manufacturers of such "cute" merchandise are Sanrio (manufacturers of "Hello Kitty") and San-X (manufacturers of "Kogepan", "Nyan Nyan Nyanko" and "Rilakkuma"). But Kawaii does not have to come from San-X or Sanrio, like I said anything from Japan that is "Cute" is considered Kawaii. Ok :) hope that helps.

Ooo a good idea is to go to www.flickr.com and type in Kawaii in the search, you dont have to be a member or anything to see the pics of Kawaii, ok :) that should help too.

oh thank you!! i'll go take a look at it now. shipping is not too expensive? that is them main reason i don't buy online.
i'd perfer not to have christmas cards.. i really have too manyof them and not many relatives to send them to.
