Hello there! Welcome to the Street Cred Builder #1 swap! If all goes well, I will host more in the future. Obviously this will be newbie friendly - I am one myself. There are alot of package swaps out there that won't let you join until you have other package swaps under your belt - understandably so, but it makes it hard to do much else but the PC/ATC type swaps that some don't consider "real swaps". For this swap you will be sending your (one) partner a small package of 4 (or more) items worth no more than 5 dollars before shipping. ONE of them must be a handmade-by-you item such as a magnet, bookmark, ATC, PC they can send someone, or some polymer beads. other items (counting as one as listed below) to be store bought or new from your stash that you might include... a pack of gum - 1 NEW and NICE sticker sheet - 4 sealed tea bags - 4 drink mix sticks such as instant coffee, tea, crystal light, etc... - 10 spare beads (good quality. no plastic and no smaller than 4mm) - a small package of seed beads is acceptable if your partner uses them and there are enough to actually MAKE something with them. - 1 sweet or salty treat - 2 pieces foreign paper currency - 10 foreign coins (not just canadian) - 1 dollar store item that relates to their profile info - 1 pen or sharpie - 1 postcard (for them to send) - 1 store bought bookmark - 4-10 new and nice buttons (depending on size) - 1 small pampering treat, like one of those bath balls or some foot lotion - 1 lip balm, lip gloss, or chapstick - 1 set of chopsticks - 1 "sample size" vaccum sealed and ground for brewing coffee - 2 votive candles or candlesticks - 1 zipper pull or cell phone charm - 4 flavored honey sticks for tea - Other ideas welcome, so post them below! Please remember this is for beefing up your credibility here on Swap-Bot, SO DON'T FLAKE AND BLOW THIS OPPORTUNITY! Make these nice and aim for hearts! Mix it up! Don't just send 12 bags of tea and an ATC. READ your partner's profile for likes and dislikes. This is sender's choice, but still try to make it good for your partner. ANYONE with a well filled out profile is welcome to join, but I may end up doing a little banning if someone seems fishy. It might be a good idea to message me if you have 1s or 3s. This IS to build up your cred, but I don't want someone to be flaked on in my first hosted swap! Times are tight, but i can TRY to angel if need be. (I might not be able to swing multiple packages worth 5 bucks, but i can send you SOMETHING at least!) DON'T MAKE ME HAVE TO THOUGH!!! HAVE FUN WITH THIS!!!!

What a cute idea! For home made, is a covered notebook or a zippered pouch OK? I sew and quilt, and these are so nice to have for yourself or to give as a gift!

Def count me in ! Thanks for the message ;] Is it ok if I condition my partner ? Please, for the "something handmade" send something useful ! I'm trying to get rid of stuff I don't need and I think I have enough bookmarks/ATC's already so please make it something I could wear(jewelry) or use(pouch, beads, etc). Thanks !

yeah, i see no problem with special requests. part of the fun of this swap will be in having no clue what you will be getting though! but i could def see reason in sending something you can use. thanks for joining us btw! ;)

I totally agree on the surprise, but it would be a little better to receive something you will actually use if you get what I mean. Either way I'm pretty excited about this !

You're totally awesome for creating this swap! It's hard for "newbies" to gain good swapper credit when no one lets them into "real" swaps. :)

This sounds like such a great idea! It's hard to find swaps I'm interested in that will accept newbies (except the ATC/PC swaps, which I'm really not into). Love the idea about surprises... I will say though, I'm not into the idea of cellphone charms - never really understood them!). Other than that... I love surpises! :) Can't wait to put this together!

i am really glad you guys are all joining the swap! i would love to leave a personal thank you in each of your comments sections, but my son and i are VERY sick right now. so let's just pretend that that is what i did. ;) i have been reading profiles and sometimes go into panic mode about "what can i send this person if i get them as my partner???!!!?", so REALLY fill out those profiles guys! it will make it easier on your partners. i admit, i probably did an overkill myself on mine after i saw other people's being so bare, but it should make things more simple for the swap-mates. thanks again, guys!

This sounds perfect, I'm joining! Thank you RainbowSplatter! And I agree, a filled out profile is a must. I've only done one swap so far, but my favorite part was finding things from my partner's profile to customize the gift with.

okay guys, i have briefly gone over each and every profile and i have decided to keep everyone who signed up, so don't make me regret that! there IS a one on someone's profile, but it appears to be a fluke/mistake. feel free to message your partners if you have trouble getting ideas from profiles!

let's keep this a flake free fun time! partners will be assigned in about 15 minutes... #2 might be up in as little as a week - keep an eye out!
