A Butterfly for Me ATC.

I had a 1 on an email swap. 1 partner got...the other did not. I offered to resend to my partner but she would not allow. I joined your swap....please let me know if I need to drop.

do they need to be original ATCs or can they be photocopied from your originals? just wondering!

I'm not the coordinator, but if I was on the receiving end of a photocopied ATC, I'd be a little bummed - especially if I sent out an original. Sorry, hope that doesn't sound too snooty!

I agree with you JackieMello. This is my first time making and reciveing ATC's and i would totally be bummed if i recived a photocopie.

yikes, i'm with JackieM and PunkerGirl, too--it never even occurred to me that someone might send a copy!

I'm a brand newbie. I have made and swapped ATCs before, but not here. I've joined...can I stay? I love butterflies, and I've already got a great idea for these ATCs!

I think photo copies would deserve a 3!!

Maggie you shouldn't send a copy - this is an original, new swap and therefore the ATCs you send should be made for the swap, not a photocopy of something you have done before.

I am with Cocoa on this - a photocopy of previous butterfly ATC deserves a 3.

I so agree on the original. I also would say rate a 3 if you get copies.

And I think a 3 is generous for a photo copy! ATCs are suppose to be original pieces of art or at the "most" a very small edition. I spend so much time on my cards, that I am disappointed when someone sends a card that is printed image with a bit of glitter (or such) on it.

I have a different take on photo copies. I agree if the whole atc was photo copied, but I have photo copied and used torn bits of photo copies, stamped and embellished on atcs and love the artistic turn out, so you may want to redefine photo copied! Anyway, that is what I shall be doing and if someone gives me a 3 because they were under the impression that it meant any photo copy at all and didn't like it, I would rather you discuss it with me and I make a new one,than to be heartless and give me a 3. Honestly I have never had any one disappointed in my atcs, but I suppose there will always be a first.. If you prefer it hand drawn, then so be it.

wouldnt the phto copied one be called a "print" and isnt it used for one of a kind drawings and such.

needlewings, I wouldn't worry. Photocopying an original ATC and sending it off is a bit different from what you're describing which would be some kind of mixed media collage/photo montage. I don't think it has to do with medium, I think it has to do with effort. We all want to see that someone put a little effort into their ATC, especially if we put effort into the ones we send out.

Needlewings - I agree with JackieMello. What you are describing sounds like a wonderful collage and I'd be proud to have one. My previous post was in reference to getting a photo copy of a completed ATC - a print or a copy, not an original.

@maggie16 . if you like it and dont want to send it make twin atc;s so you have one too.

@maggie16 I have received a digital atc in another swap...so it was a printout, but the individual also sent an original. That was fine with me... Digital is also different from a photocopy IMO. I have done digital art and it takes time.
