BS&S ~ Tools of the Trade - Boline

A boline is a (usually) curved knife, originally used to cut mistletoe and other sacred herbs.

For this swap you are to send a REPRESENTATION of a boline. The postmaster gets upset if you try to send an actual knife through the mail.

You can create a representation of a boline and decorate it for your partner, or you can send something store-bought. It's up to you.

Because of postage costs internationally, I'm going to have to make this one USA only. Sorry.

It would be nice (but not necessary) if you included a note with a little bit about the boline for your partner to put in their BoS.

I have to admit, the boline is my favorite tool. It can be used to inscribe candles, cut herbs, cut cords, or anything that needs a knife. Athames are traditionally dull, while a boline is supposed to be sharp.

EDIT: A member of the group just sent me a message about this, so I'm passing the info on... Knives can be legally mailed. They just need to be packaged well so that they will not injure postal employees during handling. Also, the package may not have anything written on it that tells what is inside.
