Description:

Matchbox shrines are fine in small size, but they can also be extraordinary with height! Add feet and a towering point to your shrines by using wooden pegs and finials, stacks of marbles, polymer clay creations--anything to make them more like a temple than a mere shrine.

Using a standard small matchbox (the 32 ct size, approximately 2" x 1.5" x .5") and add at least three inches total. Your finished shrine should be at least 5" tall. You can make them with opening doors, or sliding drawers (use the tall top finial for a handle, etc)

Go wild and reach extraordinary heights of elegance and fantasm! Use something from your partner's profile for the theme, give it a lot of thought and good work to make something your partner will be proud to display, and cherish forever!

~~~***~~~
One partner, one shrine, one month to create.
No Flakers! I cannot angel this swap, and flaking is just BAD.
(If you have an extraordinary problem suddenly which prevents you from completing this swap, contact me and we'll do what we can)
Rated swappers must have no 1's within the last month, no 3's either, and a rating of at least 4.9
Newbies must contact me within three days of the signup deadline or I will not let you in--explain why you really, really need to express yourself in a shrine of extraordinariness!
I love matchbox shrines, and work very hard to make them fabulous, and I hope all who participate in this swap feel the same.
This swap is international, because the weight shouldn't make a heavy package to mail. It's best to protect them in a small box rather than just a padded or bubble mailer--the legs and finials can snap off in a padded envie.
Be aware of international customs rules about shipping some materials--especially natural things like feathers and seeds--ask your partner if you can't find out.
