Newbie Friendly Halloween ATC Swap #1 - Pumpkins

Are you new to Swap-Bot? Having trouble finding newbie friendly swaps? I got you! This swap series is for those folks that need some help starting and building up their Type 3 ratings :).

What is an ATC? Here is a GREAT article written by BYN0604 on the Swap-Bot help forum. This is an excellent place to start. https://www.swap-bot.com/forums/topic/161109

It is a 2.5 inch x 3.5 inch piece of paper that is approximately the size of a playing card, a base ball card, or other type of card - like Pokemon or Magic The Gathering cards for example!

The card is then decorated in a theme with collage, inks, markers, drawings, pastels, paint, ephemera, stamping, embellishments, glitter, paper piecing .. there are literally endless possibilities. The artist then signs the back, with the title of the card (if applicable), the swap name, date, and other info they feel is important.

What is this swap about? You will create 1 ATC card that has a pumpkin theme. This means that your card needs to have at least one pumpkin on it somewhere!

While we don't 'grade' work - this is a judgement free zone - we here generally ask that you put in some creative effort. This is supposed to be a fun creative outlet - not a chore to be tolerated haha.

The article linked above goes over this topic in depth, but please refrain from things like sticker slapping, or printed digital cards. This needs to be an original creative piece made from scratch. And yes - we can tell :).

I personally don't consider a design sticker slapping when stickers are included as part of the overall design. Sticker slapping is when you have a cut piece of paper, and stick a sticker on the paper and call it an ATC.

Swap Rules and Dates: You will create 1 ATC card to mail to your partner. You will have 1 partner in this swap. Please mail out your card with a sturdy backing in the envelope, or in a greeting card (which may be handmade if desired), to prevent the mail system from bending your art.

Additional 'goodies' , if so desired, may also be sent but are absolutely NOT required.

Who may join? Unrated swappers, swappers that need to build their ratings, and experienced swappers with good ratings.

Flakers (those that sign up and never send and ghost the swap) will be banned from any and all of my future swaps.

Those that recieve and DO NOT RATE their swap, will also be banned in the same manner. Rating is a lifeblood here, no rating - no playing!

Swap signup ends August 31st, and should be mailed out by September 7th. Any questions let me know, I will angel (send out replacement ATC's) for anyone that gets ghosted.
