Description:

All you quilters out there: I don't know about you all but I am in need of a new table topper. This is a swap where we will be making (1) quilted table topper for (1) partner. The topper must be made from 100% cotton and can be either square or rectangular. If you choose to make the square one it must be at least 48". In other words, don't make a quilt block and send that as a topper. You can embellish or not, use applique' or not, it's up to you. I'm going to ask that you leave whether you prefer square or rectangular in the comments section below, along with color preferences.

REQUIREMENTS Since this is going to involve some detailed work, you must have (10) rated snail mail swaps. These do not include, email, postcards, stickers or ATC swaps. You cannot have any 1s at all and no 3s without first sending me a PM to explain the 3. I will be thoroughly checking all profiles and reserve the right to ban anyone not meeting the above requirements. Do not send your end of the swap late..if for some reason you can't send out on time, please PM your partner and me to let us know. Sorry, but since this is a substantial swap, I will not be able to angel in the event we have a flaker, so please, if you cannot fulfill your part of this swap, do not sign up.

RECAP You will send (1) quilted table topper, (square or rectangular) to (1) partner. You must leave your preferences in the comments section below. Please review the requirements before signing up We want this to be a table topper you will be proud to display. If you have any questions, please PM me.

Now, let's start quilting!! :)

Square or rectangular is fine with me but I would prefer the colors be jewel tones with a paisley or floral pattern. :)

I would prefer rectangular. The colors in my kitchen (where this will go) are red, robin eggs blue, and white. So if you could work those colors in that would be great.

One month to get the table topper finished....hum, I'm watching this one and just may join.

slewis234, the yo-yo table runner would be great as long as it is big enough.

RachelB, table toppers are easy to make and even beginner quilters can make them. Don't let that hold you back. :)

I have edited the sign up date and send by date to allow more time for anyone thinking about joining this swap.

Please remember to state your color preferences here so that you will have a topper that coordinates with your home decor.

ok, my furnishings are neutral. My place has a stark look, so bold, is good; I like Kaffee Fassett type fabrics ie, either very low contrast or very high contrast. I also like really antique or primitive quilts. I do like batiks. I don't like pastel florals or rainbow. Look at my profile or pm me. I'm not fussy about shape.

I have a lot of Talavera pottery hanging on a red brick painted wall. Talavera is very colorful: colbalt blue, yellow, red, turquoise, etc. Everything goes with it! I also love food prints or anything fun. My kitchen table is small: 30" x 48".

I am really excited to start this project. :)
