Things you willl need to have when you sign up for this swap.. 1. No 1 and 3 rates 2.Tape recorder for reg size cassette tape This swap is very easy and lots of fun. You will have two partners and will record your letter and send it to your Tape partner they will listen to it and record over it and send it back. You need to fill at least one side of the tape and it's a bonus if you do both sides. You may think it's werid at first talking to a tape player but once you start it's really easy and fun you'll fill up the tape before you know it. Here is some ideas to tape about: Talk about 1.Tell about you and a little about your family married,kids,pets 2.What are your favorite things food:colors:movie:books:hobbies:collections 3.It's also fun to ask questions for your partner to tell you on there tape letter. So let's have fun talking to our new tape pals.

Isn't there a likelihood that that people with two different types of recorder will end being swap partners (since Swap-Bot assigns them randomly?

Yes that is a great point I have changed it to the normal side cassette tapes.Then we all know we have what is needed to start your tape pals letter.

I used to make these type of spoken word tapes for pen-pals alllll the time!! Just wondering, is it OK to throw a song or two onto the tape, and are we making 90 minutes tapes, or 60 minutes? I think they only sell 90 minute tapes at Wal Mart anymore, but I may have an older 60 minute one laying around... Does it have to be a brand new tape? I also have new 120 minutes, so which should I use or is it up to me? Anyway, great idea!!

You have wonderful questions. I think the sender makes the choice of the tape size. I do know your right I can only find 90 and 120 minutes tapes at walmart. But I have had luck getting 60 mintutes at drug stores. I say go for what ever you want to I think it would be wonderful to share a song you like.I just want it to be fun.
