Description:

Hi! I don't know about you but if you're anything like me, I tend to need lists to function AND need accountability as well. So, I'm setting this swap up and am hoping to do it on a weekly basis.

Here's what we'll do (should you decide to join, which I hope that you will. πŸ˜€) Though I did click on the email category for the swap, this is NOT an email swap!

Below in the comments section, write a list of at least FIVE (5) things that you want or need to get done during this swap.

You can write your list if you know what it is you want to get done for the week as soon as you sign up for the swap but PLEASE post your list before it is time for partners to be assigned.

Then when the swap is over, make sure that you comment again below in the comments section and let everyone know how you did.

If you don't get everything done that was on your list ... there's no shame in that because we all know that real life sometimes gets in the way of things that we had planned on.

If you're like me, even if I get "some" of the things on my list done - to me, it's a win because at least something got done! (I have ADHD and sometimes my mind seems to have more energy when I write my to-do lists than my body has the energy for. πŸ˜‚) Sad, but many times it's true! So, just get done what you can but don't stress if you don't get a lot done, okay?

NOTE: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE MAJOR PROJECTS OR THINGS ON YOUR LIST, THESE CAN BE EVERY DAY SMALLER THINGS like .... Doing a load of laundry, Mopping the kitchen floor and so on.

I'm setting this swap up for now to see how it goes over and then if people seem interested in it, I'll set up more of them up.

Have an awesome day and I hope you'll decide to join!

If you do sign up for this swap but don't write your list in the comments section by the time at least by the time for partners to be assigned, I will ban you from the swap.

How do you rate your partners when it's time? You come to this page and your read down through the comments section and you find where they have posted their list and also where they updated and let you know how things went with your list. When you find them, you then rate your partner.

If you go to rate your partners and find that they have NOT written their list or updated how the swap went, you are to rate them with a "1". Also, please let me know as well by messaging me on Swap-bot. Thank you!

NOTE: Ratings ARE absolutely required. If you have any questions about how the swaps work, please let me know by commenting below.

My to do list for the 16th- 21st:

1) Celebrate my toddler's 3rd birthday!

2) Do all the homework for my ENG-118 class (pre-test, reading, forum posts, etc)

3) Do all the homework for my IDS-302 class (reading, questions from the reading, response paper to the reading, etc)

4) Take my toddler to her well-child appointment.

5) Call to schedule my pre-teen's eye doctor appointment.

6) Laundry. So much laundry. Always laundry. I'm chronically drowning in laundry 🀿

7) Send out my ATC swaps.

8) Deep clean my bedroom.

Most of these are things I HAVE TO get done this week, so I'm really planning to come back with a completed list. Plz pray for me or send good luck lol!

My to-do list for the 16th-21st: 1) Mop the floor. 2) Take out the garbage. 3) Get the kitchen "table" cleaned. 4) Get the pillow sheet washed and changed to the new one I got in November but haven't touched yet. 5) Get the bed sheet thing changed. 6) Get 3 more of my love messages card decks finalized. 7) Start something for the numerology card deck (doesn't need to be finalized or finished, just at least start creating the card deck). 8) Get the Pink Valentine's card deck manufactured and printed. 9) Start designing some new playing card decks as well. I want to release more playing cards besides the ones I already released and the ones I already finalized but haven't manufactured out.

Ah, forgot to type the double space after each line...

PLEASE READ:

I should have written this on the swap when I set it up and at the time, right after I posted the swap ... my internet went out so I couldn't even post my list at that time.

Anyways, what I should have written is: PLEASE DON'T FEEL LIKE YOU HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THE 16th TO START WORKING ON YOUR LIST. IF YOU WANT TO.

You are most welcome start on your list as soon as you sign up and leave your comment with your list. Seriously, that would be fine to do! πŸ˜€

Here's my list for this swap: (I know me and I'm a terrible procrastinator and so am guaranteeing nothing but I am gonna try!)

  1. Sort through my magazines and keep only certain ones (I have a pile of about 30+ of them!)

  2. Put backs on 10 Christmas cards (I make these for nursing home residents) ... people save their Christmas cards for me, I cut off the fronts and then put a heavy blank back on them so I can write something on it for the resident.) Last year I did around 175 cards in one month and this year I've decided to work a little at a time on them which is less stressful, for sure!)

  3. T.A.B.

  4. Declutter at least 10 things (I should force myself to do more but get overwhelmed too easily.) I'm nowhere close to being a hoarder but just have a small apartment and way too many things that I honestly don't need.

  5. At the least, do one load of laundry!

  6. ABSOLUTELY "NO" JUNK FOOD! (This is a struggle, I'm afraid! πŸ˜‚)

  7. Watch 1 recorded show on my cable box

  8. Delete at least 10 e-mails I no longer need

  9. Delete at least 10 files that I no longer need

  10. Call Giant Eagle (Corporate) about local stores produce

I guess I didn't know when to stop but hey, since the requirement was for "FIVE" things on the list, as long as I get 5 of them done, I'm good to go! πŸ˜‚

Have an awesome day!

Here is my list for this swap:
1. Sort out some old cards and things that I can use in my junk journaling that I got from a work colleague last week.
2. Go to the shop to get a new sim card for my laptops' modem as the one I currently have doesn't want to work anymore.
3. Go through my work email and archive all my old emails.
4. Set up the files and folders on the computer for 2024. I only started working on the 11th of January after being on leave since the 7th of December 2023.
5. Sort through the books that I have to see what I am going to start reading first.
6. Go to the vet to get the chronic medication for my one dog that she has to take daily.
7. Get the stock take of stores and reagents done and captured on the SAP system as it was not done while I was on leave, even though I showed the supervisor exactly how to do it and when to do it.
8. Go through my cupboard and sort out things that I need to repair - I know I should have done this while I was on leave, but......
9. Try to sort out the mess of paperwork that was left on my desk at work. Most of this paperwork should not have been left o my desk but should have gone to someone else.
10. Try not to overwhelm myself with everything at work....

03Scarlett 01/17/2024 #

@Kiyasu ... WHAT?? Did I read that right? You mopped the floor AND did laundry on National Nothing Day? πŸ˜‚ Good job! To be honest about it, I forgot that it was National Nothing Day and I did some work as well. Had I remembered it, I would have taken a day off and did NOTHING. That's not true, I am one of those people that "have" to be doing something at all times (even though most of the time I am busy, I'm not usually doing the things that I "should" be doing. Ha! Ha!

03Scarlett 01/17/2024 #

Today (Wednesday) I actually did get another thing done from my list (well, sort of kind of I did anyways!) πŸ˜€

So, the item was: Put backs on 10 Christmas cards

I had planned on doing that but instead I did approximately 25 postcards that I put back on.

My original intent was to start working on the Christmas cards but I had forgotten that I ordered some postcards from Amazon that are not Christmas one and those are the ones I'm working on now.

When I'm done, it'll be around 100 of them ... I have some nice and heavy index cards that I put on the back of the postcards and only do that because there isn't much room to write on the back of regular postcards and these are going to those in a nursing home, right?

Well, one would have to write really small on them with the regular postcard backs and when I put the index card on the back, it is blank and it gives me more room to write a note on the card and also I can write a bit bigger which makes it easier for them to read.

I got 3 different packs of postcards (80 in each pack) ... 2 of the pack were really pretty floral postcards which of course is for the women and then the other pack is cards with HELLO on them and there are more many colored ones that I'll make out for the men residents.

So, again today ... here it is almost 11:00 p.m. and about an hours ago is the first time my internet was working all day (yet again! Grrr!)

I know I need to call and have them fix it but hate dealing with stuff like that. Still, if I don't, who knows when it'd get straightened out, ya know?!

Okay, enough gabbing from me for tonight. Have a good day tomorrow everybody! 🌹🌹🌹

kiyasu 01/17/2024 #

@03Scarlett Yep, because "today is National Nothing Day, but my home environment is not good, so to better make sure I get a GREAT nothing of a day to enjoy, first let's get the floor cleaned and the laundry done for once"... this kind of reason. And then, it happened... I spent hours mopping the floor and doing laundry, posted in your other swap that I surprisingly didn't sleep in, but then not long after that, I decided to lie down on the bed and then I slept till later in the afternoon (instead of doing nothing). I've put off doing the mopping thing for sooooo long, but ended up doing it on National Nothing Day to ensure "better enjoyment" of nothing for that day, but then ended up NOT doing nothing :'( Still haven't celebrated and done nothing yet... I plan to make time for nothing and ACTUALLY celebrate National Nothing Day maybe sometime this week. So much stuff I have piled up :'( Still also haven't properly celebrated my birthday since September, and Christmas kind of did, but wished I had celebrated it better.

And thanks for the update! My update is:
2) Take out the garbage. NOT YET BUT MAYBE LATER TODAY UPDATE #2: I DID TAKE OUT THE GARBAGE THAT "TODAY" BUT MORE LIKE DURING MIDNIGHT AFTER THAT "TODAY"... SO IT IS ACTUALLY TODAY MIDNIGHT AND NOT THE "TODAY" FROM YESTERDAY, BUT YAY! IT'S DONE

8) Get the Pink Valentine's card deck manufactured and printed. NOT YET. WAS ABOUT TO THE PAST DAYS, BUT THEN STARTED TO THINK MAYBE I CAN WAIT AND SAVE SOME MONEY OR ACTUALLY STILL DECIDING IF I WANT TO ORDER SOME EXTRA THINGS ON TOP OF IT. UPDATE #2: SOOOO, I DID TRY TO LAST NIGHT AND MIDNIGHT BUT THEN I COULDN'T STOP DECIDING WHETHER I SHOULD ADD EXTRA LIMITED EDITION PLAYING CARD DECKS FROM THEIR OWN RETAIL SHOP AS WELL... AND I HAVE EXPLAINED THE SITUATION A BIT IN YOUR "Currently I'm..." SWAP'S DRAFT E-MAIL. SO, THIS ONE IS NOT DONE YET. STUCK BETWEEN THIS AND WHETHER I COULD REALLY SAVE MONEY AND I FEEL LIKE MAYBE BETTER JUST TO SPEND ON MANUFACTURING MY OWN DECKS AND NOT ON THEIR LIMITED EDITION CARDS... BUT...

kiyasu 01/18/2024 #

Also, I actually didn't sleep till after 5am last midnight because of #8, and then ended up binge(?) browsing card decks and cardistry stuff and procrastinating. :'( :'( :'( Oh, and I guess #3 had an update too:

3) Get the kitchen "table" cleaned. IT BECAME BETTER THAN WHEN I LAST WROTE ABOUT IT HERE DAYS AGO, BUT STILL NEEDS WORK AND NOT FINISHED YET UPDATE #2: IT BECAME BETTER THAN WHEN I LAST WROTE ABOUT IT HERE, BUT STILL NEEDS WORK AND NOT FINISHED YET (TA-DA~! LITERAL COPY-AND-PASTE πŸ˜‚ OH WAIT, I SHOULD CHANGE "DAYS AGO" TO "YESTERDAY" BUT YOU GET THE IDEA πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚)

JKartstuff 01/19/2024 #

As of now, on Friday the 19th, I have made good progress on my list. About half of my college school work is done for both classes. My first paper has already been graded and I got an A! We celebrated my toddler's birthday on Tuesday and she had a lot of fun. My ATCs are all done and are ready to mail out in the morning, and the eye doctor appointment is made. My toddler's check up is at 4pm today and then that will be done too. It feels good to cross things off the list!

kiyasu 01/20/2024 #

@JKartstuff Congrats on the progress! :D

Now, my next progress:

3) Get the kitchen "table" cleaned. IT BECAME BETTER THAN WHEN I LAST WROTE ABOUT IT HERE DAYS AGO, BUT STILL NEEDS WORK AND NOT FINISHED YET UPDATE #2: IT BECAME BETTER THAN WHEN I LAST WROTE ABOUT IT HERE, BUT STILL NEEDS WORK AND NOT FINISHED YET (TA-DA~! LITERAL COPY-AND-PASTE πŸ˜‚ OH WAIT, I SHOULD CHANGE "DAYS AGO" TO "YESTERDAY" BUT YOU GET THE IDEA πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚) UPDATE #3: NOOOOOOO, IT KIND OF BECAME WORSE THAN IT WAS DAYS AGO... SORT OF? (DEPENDING ON HOW YOU LOOK AT IT?)

4) Get the pillow sheet washed and changed to the new one I got in November but haven't touched yet. NOT YET UPDATE #2: NOT YET, BUT MAYBE TODAY OR TOMORROW?

5) Get the bed sheet thing changed. NOT YET UPDATE #2: NOT YET, BUT MAYBE TODAY OR TOMORROW?

03Scarlett 01/22/2024 #

@kiyasu

I totally get it because I do the same thing ... you know, like telling myself, there's always TOMORROW! πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

JKartstuff 01/23/2024 #

I ended up getting everything except deep cleaning my room! 7 out of 8 is pretty darn good lol.
