In frame-within-a-frame photography, you place your subject within a second frame in the photo. The first frame refers to the edge of the photograph â hence the name, frame within a frame. There arenât any rules regarding the shape of the frame. It can be squared, circular, oval, etc., as long as itâs a defined border. There are some useful websites with ideas and guidance at: Frame within a frame photography This one refers quite a lot to cinema but is also relevant to photography A guide to frame within a frame https://www.photographyaxis.com/photography-articles/frame-within-a-frame-photography/) Email your picture to your partner. In your email, tell them a bit about your experience of taking the picture. Is this a compositional technique you've used before? How did you find your subject and your frame? Can you see yourself using this technique again? What do you think it adds to the picture (if anything!) |
