Description:

Boy, did I mess up last time! I was in rehearsal for a show and just plain forgot to ever assign partners! Yikes! Let's try this again, shall we?

Do you love books? Love reading books from all over the world? Do you love books? Are you always on the lookout for recommendations *even though your TBR pile is tottering by your bedside? *ME TOO! Let's swap titles!

Getting Started: Find or make a library checkout card that is 4″ x 6″, or 107mm x 152mm. This allows the card to fit easily in a normal envelope, and does not require additional postage.

On one side of the card, address the card to yourself like a postcard. On the top left, put the swap (LLU: Traveling Library Card and the Round #), under that, list the date, your real name, your Swap-Bot name and location (state/province and country).

On the other side, make columns for a Date (borrowed/read), Book, Library. Remember the cards libraries used to keep track of books? It should look like that! Now put the card in an envelope and mail it to your partner. You’ve completed the first round.

Once you receive a card, fill out your portion. On the library card side, write the date, the book you borrowed, and the library name; on the postcard side under the owner’s name and listing, write the date, your swap-bot name, and location, including at least state/province and country. Round 2 and More: fill out the library card as you did for the previous rounds.

Filling the Last Space: you will sometimes get a card where you will be the last to fill it out. Once you’ve filled it out, drop a message to the addressee on the back to make sure their address hasn’t changed and to let them know you are sending the card back, check their preference to see if you should put it in an envelope or not, then put a stamp on it and pop it in the post. At this point, you’ll be without a card to send out, so will need to start up a new card.

**Please note: this is an international swap and thus international postage fees may occur. **

Profile-based extras are nice, but not necessary to meet swap requirements. Be sure to actually read the profile to see what your partner does and does NOT like!

Any questions, feel free to message me!
