QNT blossom blocks Your choice of color

--2 partners to receive 1 blossom block each (print fabrics only for blossoms)

--be sure to make one for yourself (so that is 3 blocks alike each month, 2 to mail and one to keep)

Fabric should be 100% cotton. All blocks will have white or tone-on-tone white backgrounds.

We are just making the blossoms in this swap, not the stems or leaves. You may use the blossoms in any way you choose. I have added stems and leaves before and put these blocks in several projects.

PRECUT your fabric

Carefully cut 16 3-inch X 3-inch squares of color print fabrics for petals (4 of these will be for each of the 4 blossom blocks you make)

Cut 16 two-inch white squares. (4 for each of the blossom blocks)

WHITE SQUARE PREP WORK:

With a pencil draw a diagonal line (on the wrong side of the fabric) from the upper left-hand corner to the lower right-hand corner of each white square.

ASSEMBLY

1. Right sides together pin one white square to the upper right-hand corner of each of the print squares

2. Stitch on the drawn line and cut ¼-inch away from seam then press open.

Repeat these steps with all 4 different sets of print fabrics for each block.

Stitch the 4 pairs together as one flower. You will end up with 3 individual flowers to mail, and 1 to keep.

We will not be making the stems or leaves.
