LLU: Blind Date with a Book!

My library used to wrap up books in brown paper, write short teaser blurbs on the outside, then set up a display challenging library visitors to check them out, sight unseen. I don't know if they are doing it again this year (it largely depends on staffing) but I found an online option that should help with accessibility so I thought this could make an interesting swap idea.

You do not need to finish reading the book (or even be able to check out the book) to participate, but we would like to hear how your experience went (at least a few sentences would be great!). You don't necessarily need to answer all these questions, depending on your experience, but your email can include details like:

-What intrigued you about this book? (this will usually be some hint from the teaser blurb)

-What did you think when the cover/author/title was revealed?

-Did you end up reading it, or do you think you will read it, or had you already read it?

-Other thoughts/impressions about the book, or the experience?

Don't forget to use the bcc feature when you email, and include your username/name of swap.
