Description:

Did any of you know that December 4th is National Cookie Day? Well, yes it is!

National Cookie Day gives you the opportunity to .... you guessed it......eat cookies!

Those of you who have an undying love of cookies might want to mark December 4th on your calendar. That’s because this is National Cookie Day. An American holiday dedicated to this tasty dessert and snack food that can be consumed at any time of day or at any meal. While the origin of National Cookie Day is currently unknown, the history of the cookie is a well documented fact. Cookies were invented during the seventh century in Persia. Right around the time that sugar became a common resource in that region. It then spread throughout Europe thanks to the Muslim conquest of Spain. The cookie would continue to march across the continent until it became one of the most prevalent snack foods in Europe by the fifteenth century.

The story of the cookie doesn’t end in Europe however. In the seventeenth century it made its way across the Atlantic into the Americas via the Dutch settlers of the time. Colonial housewives snatched up the concept of the cookie and began producing their own. These simple cookies were most often simply flavored with butter, with some of the more elaborate ones being flavored with rose water, maple syrup or sometimes even beer!

Today, the cookie is one of the most revered desserts in America. There are literally thousands of different cookie recipes that crowd cookbooks of the last two centuries. Which can make choosing a cookie a very daunting task indeed. I guess that is just how the cookie crumbles though.

If you are wondering how to celebrate National Cookie Day, then you don’t have to worry any longer. It is one of the easiest holidays in the world to celebrate. Just choose your favorite cookie and give yourself permission to indulge it anytime of the day or at any meal. You can also try your hand at baking your own special cookie. And if you’re looking to brighten someone’s day, then all you have to do is give out some cookies. This is sure to brighten anyone’s day.

Next onto our swap:

Post THREE (3) pictures and/or gifs to each of your THREE (3) partner's profiles with the theme "National Cookie Day or cookies". The pictures that you choose may be the SAME OR DIFFERENT between all of your partners. Please choose pictures that you think THEY will enjoy!

Only people with well filled out profiles may participate in this swap. I will be checking the night before partners get assigned.

If you get 3 pictures from your partner on "National Cookie Day or cookies" you have to rate them a 5. The heart on the rating is for if you like what they sent.

To leave a photo on someone's profile use this code ! [ ] ( Put image address here ) With NO spaces & paste the picture's link between the curved parentheses.

Practice on your own profile first to be sure it looks good because you can easily delete there.

Pick images that are size 300 wide or smaller to be sure they fit. I go to Google images to get my pictures.

Hover over images to see their size because there will be some larger sizes there too. If you really like something click on it and go to the words SEARCH BY IMAGE and click on that. THEN go to the word SMALL and see if there is one 300 size. There are other tricks in the group thread; AN EASY way to get a small PIC from a BIG one;-) You can find moving pictures at http://giphy.com/

Please write the TITLE OF THE SWAP ON YOUR PROFILE DECO MESSAGE too! This makes it easier for partners that are in a lot of these swaps to rate it.

Any problems, feel free to contact me.

I want to thank @anrtist for allowing me to borrow SOME of her wording.
