Thank you for considering this MONTHLY Mailer swap where you send your partner an envelope/package of happiness with a note, a reading and a surprise for each week. During 2020 and the first half of 2021, we shifted from weekly mailings to once a month to limit trips to the post office during the COVID-19 pandemic. Given USPS postage increases in August 2021, mail slowdowns and the uptick in Delta variant Covid cases, we'll keep this monthly format through the end of the year.

For each week of August, create a packet or envelope labeled with the week. Tuck all five packets in a larger box or mailer and send so your partner will have a full month in one package. Be sure to include your name, forum name and the swap name.

Each packet should include:

• a note, card or letter.

• something to read.

• a surprise.

Your note could be about anything you'd like, or could follow the week's theme. Something to read could include a devotional, book, article, jokes, recipes, etc. The gift should be faith-based, profile-based or theme-based. Give as you'd like to be given unto.

The overall Scripture themes for August are Joshua 1:9 and Psalm 121.

August has five Mondays and the weekly themes are:

• Aug. 1-7: What Covid taught me OR what I learned during Covid.

• Aug. 8-14: My plans for the rest of the summer.

• Aug. 15-21: What I enjoyed about quarantine/lockdown. (Surely you can think of something!)

• Aug. 22-28: Pick a celebration-- using the websites below or any similar one, pick a holiday/observance/celebration as the week's theme. It doesn't have to correspond to the actual fourth week or day of August, anything during the month will work. Be sure to tell your partner why you selected that particular observance.

• Aug. 29-31: Sender's choice.

Interpretations of the weekly themes are up to the sender.
