My project is: Odds and Ends. That means I'll be doing a bit of everything, short stories, an application, critiquing, etc.

I forgot to post my update this weekend! I ~technically~ haven't started Camp yet cuz I'm still finishing the draft for the last of my novelettes. Booh! But I've been really busy with work so I'm doing my best. Hope it's going well for y'all!

Whoops. I completely forgot the date I was supposed to post my update. I am not doing well. I have a million things going on and while I am working on things a little bit, I am not where I want to be. I am thinking that this weekend, I will shut the door on the spare room and cover the floor with notes. Maybe I'll kick the husband out to go hang out with his friends so I have alone time.

Hi, I have atahe outline done for my story. So far that is all. Busy summer. I forgot to post this earlier. Sorry.

2nd update: I am still struggling along with my editing. I think I've made some good overarching changes that will help in the long run. I've rewritten these books completely about three times. So these changes will hopefully be the last. I'm excited about the story again, so that's always a good thing!

My mind blanked on this. I posted an update on the Camp NaNo group that said:

Here I am in the very last week finally getting started on a short story I want to submit for a contest next month. Glad I wasn't overly optimistic on what I'd do this Camp session. The contest entry has to be 4,000-5,000 words.

Goal for the weekend: Get 1,000 words on short story.

I'm not sure how, but I just came back to post my last update for the month, and neither of my earlier comments are here. Not the one with my project, nor the one with my first update that I did on the 5th of July. I'll just redo both now and do my last one, all as separate comments here.

Reposted comment from approximately 30th June: My plan is to shoot for 20k words with a series of short stories revolving around Once Upon a Time's Regina Mills, likely either OutlawQueen, DragonOutlawQueen, or MayorSwanQueen, as I have projects due in July and August for all three.

Reposted comment from 5th July: Today I managed to get my goal in of 1000 words while traveling on both plane and ferry, particularly after having a rocky start to the month. Still hoping to get caught up on my word count that I missed while vacationing though.

Final update: Yeah, I did not meet my word count goal at all for CampNaNo. I ended at 12854 words out of 20k and had to drop out of one of my writing commitments. The pandemic has really hit me hard for writing and I'm still struggling...

Maybe I'll skip the Camp sessions next year. I can't recall the last time I actually accomplished any camp project.

My plan, is, however to continue with the last story I started. I do want to get the contest short story completed.

My Camp ended up kinda being a disaster... I worked on my things a little, finished the draft and started the rewrites but overall... Blurgh, nothing. Kind of a bummer but hey, we do our best!
