Most of us own treasures of some kind and many of us are blessed to have been gifted handmade items that have become precious to us. This swap is an opportunity for you to tell someone else about one of your treasures and the person who either made it for you or gave it to you.

Write a personal friendly letter to your partner telling them about a possession you love which was handcrafted by someone else using any type of needle and thread.

If you're in need of ideas, here are some things you can include in your letter:

• A description of the item

• Memories of the person who made it for you or gave it to you

• A brief history of where in the world it was made and what was happening there at the time

• The occasion on which is was gifted to you

• What you love about the item itself

• Where you keep or display it

• Your plans for the future of this item
