Valentine’s Day GIVEAWAY! RAK

I would spend it in Slovenia! Apart from my partner disliking the cold haha! A penpal of mine from Slovenia says that on February 14th sometimes young couples will walk out into the fields to watch birds "propose"/"display their love" for each other, these fields are normally frozen!

Spending an entire day with my partner! [He works every day of the week + we live far apart so seeing each other for an entire day would be really special]

I'd wish that anyone who didn't believe in "true love" would just give it a shot, find someone they like and actually get to know them, I'd hope that my brother finds his true love [He has a lot of health problems that make it difficult for him to go outside] and finally this is sort of sad but I'd hope that my mum would stop loving my biological dad [he left the family before I was born so I never considered him a responsible parent figure].

What would be the ultimate Valentine’s Day gift for you, and why?

I would love the gift of a weekend away with my love :) Preferably somewhere close enough we won't be traveling all day to get there. I love the idea of a cabin in the woods somewhere that we can go and relax without distractions and bring our dog along with us.

That is currently my dream valentines day gift.

The best Valentine's Day gift I could receive would be the trip I'd been planning to England. This year I was supposed to go to Frodsham, Cheshire to see the village my family founded so many, many years ago but it has not panned out financially. It's not completely off the table, it's just not going to happen in the near future and that's a wee bit disappointing to me. Ok, very disappointing to me. To make it the ultimate trip, I'd love to take my family with me. The plan is for it to be just me but I'd I could show my kids something if where they come from, I think that would just be the most touching experience.

The ultimate Valentine's gift for me would be breakfast in bed with my husband watching P.s I love you, pretty woman, etc...

The best gifts, for me, are the very personal ones. I joke that I'm at the same time very easy and very hard to please with gifts - very easy because I really don't care a lot about expensive gifts or fancy clothes or jewelry or anything like that, but also hard because you have to actually put some thought into it instead of walking into the first store you see and buying something. Ideally, a Valentine's Day gift for me would be either something my partner makes or gets made especially for me, or plans to spend time together doing something I like. Taking me out for a movie I want to see, or to my favorite board games cafe, or even a weekend getaway to a nearby town... all of those would make me super happy to get from a partner.

The ultimate Valentine's gift for me would be a trip to a ranch just outside of town. They allow guests to pet the cows, and honestly, I'd be so thrilled I'd probably cry! I truly love animals, and any opportunity I get to positively interact with them is a 10/10 experience for me. ♡

If I could go anywhere for Valentine’s Day I would go back to Edinburgh. My husband and I had a fantastic trip the last time we visited.

If I could spend Valentine's Day anywhere, I would spend it in NYC. My husband and I would visit a museum (or three), we would pick a neighborhood and wander around, shopping and getting coffee and treats where we found them, get last minute tickets for a play or musical, have an outdoor dinner picnic in a public space, and end the night snuggling with drinks at a rooftop bar. Then we'd stay overnight somewhere cozy and in the morning have a lazy brunch in a neighborhood joint while talking and reading the newspaper.

If you were given 3 wishes for Valentine’s Day what would they be and why?

1. I get the job with my friends on a boat in Scotland because it would change my entire life. I adore it there and love hanging out with them.
2. All my health issues would be healed, because I have over 30 diseases/syndromes/chronic pain on my disability list and would love a healthy life again!
3. A burly, bearded, freckled, ginger Scotsman would appear, because that's the kind of man I've known I'll marry my entire life and people laugh at me all the time. It's going to happen. 🤣

If I could spend Valentine's Day anywhere in the world, I would choose to go to the Philippines. My boyfriend and I are in a long distance relationship now, with me in the United States and him in the Philippines. I wish I could teleport now to him on Valentine's Day and celebrate the holiday to him ♡ There are also a lot of places that I would love to visit in my home country.

What would be the ultimate Valentine’s Day gift for you, and why?

This is going to be cheesy...I love Valentine's Day and am enthusiastic about it. Many of my friends don't care about it or actively don't like it. The ultimate Valetine's Day gift would be to have a party with my friends that is Valentine's themed...or at least love themed! I would love to have my friends together to enjoy a holiday that I find very fun.

If I could spend Valentine’s Day anywhere in the world, I would go to Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico. I went there four years ago while visiting my brother and his wife. It is such an amazing place. I would love to go with my husband. He was unable to go on that trip with me. I think spending Valentine’s Day with my soulmate in such an amazing place would be awesome!

If you can spend Valentine’s Day anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

Have you seen the snowglobe Geico commercial? I want the exact opposite of that! If I could have a patch of grass and a heat lamp pretending to be the sun, I would land that globe in the middle of Central Park. My partner and my dog would be there as we have a little picnic with some fancy charcuterie and some non-alcoholic juice boxes. Sometimes I get wrapped into the whole Valentine's Day kitch and spend too much money, but this year, I just want a quiet day about us. Who needs overpriced restaurants and overworked waitstaff trying to rush you out?

The past few years Kyle and I have been so broke we couldn't go out or buy gifts. we have been dating 3 years on February 27th and Married 3 years in October. (Quick Courtship) It would just be nice to buy some good food whether take out or cooked at home and cards and a meaningful gift. Kyle has been eyeing some tools and I have been eyeing a Crop-a-dile. It would be nice to just be able to spend Alittle bit towards things one another likes. Stickers, clothes, whatever. but we never can!!

I would love to spend Valentine's day in Jasper, Alberta. I've been there in the summer but would love to see the Rocky Mountains during the winter. So majestic.
