SPCP: Animal Snapshot Postcard

Take a photo of an animal or use one you've snapped previously. Tell your partner something about the photo.

Feel free to use whatever postcard-making technique works for you. Make it sturdy enough to go through the mail.

Suggestions:

• Print your photo on postcard weight cardstock, or

• Print on lighter weight cardstock and paste it to cardboard/cardstock, or

• Print on photo paper and paste it to cardstock/cardboard. If you print on photo paper on an inkjet printer you may need to apply a fixative to prevent it from being scratched. I like to use a decoupage clear gel.

• There are labels that can be applied to the back of photos, feel free to use those too. Photo of self-adhesive postcard backing.

Important administration stuff:

I send out nudge 'please rate' messages around the one month mark after everyone has mailed their cards.

If you haven't received a postcard around the one month mark, let me know.

When rating please comment on the card received. Let's make our partners feel like their postcard matters. Please, no blank comments.

Example of what you could write:

Thank you for {describe the item}. It brightened my day.

Becomes:

Thank you for the photo of your beautiful cat Max. It brightened my day.

I check to see that everyone is rated and will add a "Finished" stamp to the Discussion section when all postcards are sent, received and rated.
