National Artist

UPDATE 2/20/09: I extended the send date (several people, including me! wanted a little more time)

A themed swap with various things relating to an artist from your country. For your lucky partner you will find or make one item relating to your chosen artist from EACH of the following categories:

• Paper: an ATC, postcard, stationery / folding card, bookmark
• Handmade: matchbox, shrine, bottlecap, collage, pin cushion, bookmarks, dottee, drawing you made or purchased
• Instruction: teach us about your artist by providing us with some written information, this can be either information you've researched online or a pamphlet/handout you picked up at a museum or elsewhere. This could also be a cd/dvd or other format.
• Profile surprise that SOMEHOW relates back to the artist (it could be in the style of, food, etc.). This may be a S - T - R - E - T - C - H but I know you'll make it work!!!!

For example, I could choose Ansel Adams and use a picture of his to make an ATC for the paper category, then I could make a set of beautiful bookmarks with an image and quote of his for the handmade, write up some information based on research I did and make a little booklet for the instructional piece, and finally I may have a partner who loves to recycle and since Ansel Adams was a well known conservationist as well as photographer I could make or purchase a mors / tote bag for groceries as the profile surprise.
