Secret Sister Ornament Swap

SISTERS…….. the best thing in the world is to be loved by a sister or a friend who is just like one. They know when you need a hug, need to be left alone, cheer you up with a cup of something hot, a pretty cake, or open a bottle if it is even tide. Talk the legs off you, and open us up to laugh at our antics and at not to be so serious, and help us feel pretty, when we don’t recognise it in ourselves.

We will make our secret sister a simple shaped ornament so she can hang it on her tree or somewhere that means she is precious to us. Everytime she looks at it, it will remind her she is special and loved in our land of Georgettes and that we care. Does that sound like a swap you would like to participate in? We would love to have as many of our members join in with us, to be our Secret Sister.

For this swap we will be having one partner. We shall make our sister a beautiful handmade ornament reflecting the season using your strengths. If that is watercolour, then perhaps the centre area might have a scene etc. If stitching or quilting is your talent, a star with embroidery, if journaling/collage is more your forte`, perhaps a slightly stuffed paper cup & saucer with your paper ephemera gracing its sides. What ever your delight in making, please make it a gift your receiver will treasure and help her know she is special.

This swap is similar to a secret santa but we are a hundred years earlier before the jolly red man was invented in our sisterland America.
