You can 100% mimic someone else's art or incorporate things from someone else's art or create something completely new.

When I say mimic someone else's art, I don't mean print it out and you're done. I mean, imitation of another person's work.

Use collage, painting, rubber stamping, stenciling, drawing, or whatever wonderful artsy fartsy techniques you want to create your handmade postcard.
