A little reminder to the newbies that the host cannot choose who you will be partnered with. The website auto-matches the members once the host is ready to assign partners. And since this is an INTERNATIONAL swap, that means Swap-Bot might match you with someone from anywhere around the world. If you don't want that, it's probably not the swap for you.

@Hell0Z0mbie - I have a question. The swap rules say that the letter should be at least 2 pages long. A5 or A4?

A few responses:
As pointed out, the on this stie swap hosts have no control over who you are paired with. Partners are generated randomly from all swap participants. So you may end up with an international partner or one within your own country.

As far as size, typed or handwritten is fine as long as your letter is at least two pages. I am not requiring that a certain type of paper be used.

You are required to have a filled out profile to participate in this swap. To me that means at least three paragraphs or populated sections.

Ok, I think I understand now. Partners will be assigned on March 20th, 2019. Mailings must be done by April 8th, 2019. As I said, I'm new here. I apologize for my lack of understanding at first, however I never claimed to be the brightest crayon in the box :)

Hey George! That is partially correct... March 20 is the last day people can sign up for this swap. After that, I (as the host) have a week to assign partners. Prior to assigning partners I look at profiles to make sure everyone is in compliance with my rules, which can take time for a large swap. Hosts usually assign partners within a day, but it can take up to a week. Once partners are assigned, you will receive an automatic email from Swap-Bot telling you that it's time to start swapping. Then you can return to this swap page and see who your partner to send to is. Then you'll have until 4/8 to mail your letter.

I will be assigning partners as soon as I can. It turned out to be a very popular swap, and currently has over 100 participants in it. An important part of hosting is to look at each participant to make sure they are still signing in, aren't late on any swaps, don't have resolvable threes or ones, and aren't overtly breaking any other rules. This helps make sure all good swappers in it receive their swaps. Hosts actually have up to a week to assign partners on this site, but most do so more quickly than that.

While I started vetting participants weeks ago, people were able to join through yesterday. I still need to spend some time making sure everyone is in compliance with site and swap rules, but I am hoping to assign partners later today. I've already removed a number of people and will likely need to remove several others who don't meet requirements.
