Description:

This swap is a repeat swap in this group, of swaps previously hosted by @crescendo

A Happiness Jar is where you:

1) Repurpose an empty glass jar with a lid

2) During the entire year, add a note to the jar any time something good happens that makes you happy

3) On New Year's Eve, (OR your Birthday) empty your jar and read how amazing your life was in the past year!

(I have just started a jar for my daughter & nephew, which is actually a fish bowl, with a cowboy hat for a lid :) :) :) I will persuade them to list their "day's most awesome" event & put in the jar, daily, yellow for him, orange for her, they will open it on their birthdays :)

For this swap, make your partner a Happiness Jar starter kit that includes:

  • A round, decorated label for the jar lid with a phrase that contains the word "Happy", or "Happiness" someplace on the label. Make this label approximately 3" (7.62 cm) in diameter. I figure this is a nice size for the lid on a pickle jar, or large sized peanut butter jar, etc. Receiver can decide if they want to put it on the lid or on the side of the jar, hang it as a tag, or even stick it to the inside of the lid !! The label can be hand drawn, stamped, computer printed, collaged -- however you want to decorate it.If you print it, make sure you use a high resolution of 300 dpi so it looks crisp and not blurry. Receiver will be responsible for adhering it to the lid, so sender you do not have to add the adhesive.

  • A variety of 12 journaling tags or pretty pieces of smallish note pad paper. These can be store bought or handmade or printed. Don't just send plain pieces of paper or all one design though. They should have some kind of picture or pattern/decoration AND a place to write. Lined or unlined, sender's choice.

Put the 13 things in an envelope, include a separate note with swap name, your name & swap-bot id , attach adequate postage,& send. Please rate 5 when you receive these 13 things, plus the note with identification. Swap is international, so give the kit time to arrive. This is flat mail, but type 3 due to the craft involved in the label.

I will vet the participants (manual filter) & angel if necessary, though I trust my group members.
