Description: | |
It is a German Christmas tradition to count the days of Advent with a special Advent calendar. On every day from the 1st of December until Christmas Eve, you open one “door” or “window” of the calendar. Often this calendar is a Christmas or winter picture with numbers on it. Every number is a small flap with something behind it. A picture or poem for example. Some calendars are filled with chocolate, and some even with toys. And it is not unusual to make own calendars for family and friends. This year we make an entire 24-day-Advent-calendar for one swap partner. WARNING: This swap will be intensive in time, costs and postage costs! What you have to do: Make 24 “doors” for the calendar. They can be boxes,
bags,
cups, socks, wrapped gifts or something else... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Fill every door with at least one gift. It can be Christmas related or something your partner could use and like, depending on the information from its profile. The items can be store bought or handmade but they have to be new. Some ideas of what to put in the calendar: But remember: it all depends on the likes and dislikes of your partner. What you are not allowed to send: important for dislikes: If there are some things that you absolutely Do not want to receive, please write them in the comments under this swap. And to be absolutely safe, you can write your sending partner an informative message. Put a lot of love in your calendar and make it as something that you would love to receive. Be merry and bright! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ When you send something fragile like glass ornaments, be sure to put it in bubble wrap or something similar. Once you wrapped your gifts it can be possible that you can`t remember which of the small packages contains fragile content. To avoid damages you should use the bubble wrap before you wrap the brittle gift. |
