With Easter coming up in April, I thought it would be a great time to do a cross swap. We'll each have 2 partners and send 1 cross to each. These can be hand-painted, cross-stitched, crocheted, plastic canvas, wood, jewelry, or whatever craft you work in, as long as it is handmade. And since this is a celebration of Easter, let's stick to the Christian cross which is a symbol of Easter. It's hard to put a dollar amount on this, but let's all make something we will be proud to say we made, and that the recipient can display with pride as well. International participants welcome! Newbies welcome with a completed profile and a valid e-mail address. If you have a rating below 4, more than 2 no-sends, or more than two 3 ratings, please do no sign up.

What a great idea! My husband and I have a small collection of crosses and crucifixes we have acquired from different places on various occasions (wedding present, bought on the honeymoon, a replica of the crucifix in our cathedral, etc.) These will be wonderful addtions to our collection. :-)

"let's stick to the Cristian cross which is a symbol of Easter" do you know what Ostara means? On the other hand there will be non-Cristian swappers... what will you do on this?

Yes, I know what Ostara means. This swap is specifically for handcrafted crosses which symbolize Jesus Christ's crucifixion and death, and His resurrection which we celebrate on Easter Sunday. Anyone is welcome to join this swap who follows the guidelines.

Karen, I received your crosses yesterday afternoon. I love the fact that your daughter played a part in this swap! My 10-yr-old daughter always opens my swap packages that come in the mail. She also loves helping with ideas. I love my goodies, and so does my daughter -- she has staked her claim on the magnet! Thanks so much.

My two were mailed out yesterday, one to Portugal and one to Singapore. Fortunately, they are made of wood, so they should withstand the journey all right. :-)
