25 Handmade Days of Christmas

If you love getting and receiving Christmas gifts then this swap may be for you. Many thanks to PaulaEliza for letting me adapt her great swap! This will be US only due to postage.

For this swap you will make/buy 25 individual Christmas surprises for your partner, one for each day of December up to Christmas.

Decorate a box or stocking to put all of your wrapped gifts in. Wrap each gift, number them with a tag and place them inside the box or stocking. Include a card or paper listing all of the items in the swap, but make sure it's folded or in an envelope so as not to ruin the surprise.

This is SENDER'S CHOICE. Items can be new or vintage but they must be clean and in usable condition. Some of them should be related to Christmas in some way.

8-10 items should be crafting supplies or items. Consider gifting any Christmas crafting supplies early in the month so your partner can use them for their holiday crafting projects.

8-10 items should be handmade/altered. They can be handmade by you, from Etsy, regifted handmade, etc.

NO CANDY OR FOOD as part of the numbered gifts. Also, NO RELIGIOUS MATERIALS unless your partner has called that out as a like in their profile. If your partner mentions in their profile that they celebrate Winter Solatice/Yule, Chanukah, or similar holiday that isn't Christmas, feel free to include relevant items as you feel is appropriate.

Please no kiddie materials like plastic beads, kiddie stickers, etc.

All gifts should be individually wrapped and numbered. This is like an advent calendar, so your partner knows what to open on what day.

Make the last surprise (#25) the one you consider to be the most special in the package. The one to be opened on the big day!

Ideas for items (in case you want some inspiration): - beads or charms - ATCs - holiday ornaments or decor - handmade garlands - glitter - yarn - holiday ephemera - dotee dolls -any specialty craft you do. Take a peek at your partner's profile for more ideas! Please give some variety -- not 25 stickers, 25 ATCs, and so on.

This is a big swap so swapper must have completed at least 20 type 2 or 3 swaps. Sorry no newbies for this one. I will be checking profiles before assigning partners. I will remove participants with poor ratings, late swaps, nasty comments, or other swapping history that concerns me at my discretion. If you have any negative swapping history and want to participate, please PM me to explain.

I will angel as much as possible. If someone ends up not sending I may ask swap participants to send a few wrapped gifts to help me angel. But it would be sad to get to that point, so please do not sign up if you can't fulfill your end. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns!
