hand sewn christmas tree decoration

This swap is to get us in the mood for Christmas. I sometimes feel the spirit of Christmas is lost in all the commercial shopping and money spending. For the last few years all of my Christmas tree decorations (apart from my lights) have been hand made, either crafted by my 3 wonderful young sons, sewn by me, crafted by me or handmade by someone else. Many people comment on how lovely my tree looks and it is so personal to our family. So I thought it would be a fabulous idea to create a swap so we can all add to our handmade Christmas trees. For this swap you need to HAND SEW a ornament using materials such as felt, cotton, leather what ever you prefer but it must be hand stitched not machine stitched and very neat work please, you can stuff your decoration lightly with toy stuffing to give it some depth if you wish, I usually stuff all of mine. Other embellishments can be sewn on like buttons and ribbons, or you can neatly glue on embellishments such as sequins. Look on pinterest or google for some inspiration. It can be any thing Christmas themed so think snowmen, robins, Santa's, stars, Rudolph............ the possibilities are endless. Please ensure its a ideal size for a Christmas tree, nothing to big and bulky or too little that it wont stand out. Please put time and effort into this, its senders choice so there's plenty of time to get a head start on this and get planning. This is international so bear postage costs in mind when signing up.
