Postcards_Lots of Em! (2)

This sounds great ! I belong to a Postcard Pal Group and it's always a treat to receive a postcard from another area, especially from other countries! Looking forward to this swap.

I have a huge (100s) collection of postcards that I've bought during my travels. Do the postcards in this swap have to be of the area where we live, or could I send nice cards of another area/country/city from my collection?

I like postcards and keep everyone I get.

They can be any kind you would like to send or recieve!

This is the first swap I've looked at through swap-bot, although I've done many through several Live Journal communities. I joined for artist cards primarily, but postcards are fun too! My opinion is that some photographs make great postcards and others do not. I think some people in postcard swaps like store bought however if you have a landscape or something similar to a store bought one then why buy it? I think it would be fine as long as it wasn't a picture of your pet. Kristin

I love postcards swaps as I feel like I get to go to each place I get a postcard from.I love postcards with pics but love ones with recipes and unique items as well.

Im a Huge fan of Pen pals and Postcards!! I look for all kinds and I have a Huge collection of Postcards actually... I am 29 yrs old and I started my collection when I was 12... I have traveled alot through the USA and along my stops ive picked up Lots! I have yet to travel Abroad but wish to see the World some day... Here is a glimpse into that ... I love it~

I am new, completed profile. Joining this swap, but want to make sure we do put a stamp on the postcard and write a little note as stated? I was confused by the no envelope, didn't know postcards are sent with envelopes? thanks! Mel

You will get the names and addresses of who to send to Jan 3.

Postcards must be sent without an envelope with a stamp with something nice written on it about where it's from.

Got my addresses :) Just one little question: do I have to send cards with city stuff, landscape etc. on it or can I choose any cards which I think to fit best for my partners?

International: most countries take a .94 cent stamp.

I'd like to leave a rating for the card I received from Chjcago. But I can't read the name. Help!

I thought I had already clicked on the Items Sent option. Sorry, but I did make the click before deadline! This was fun!

I took my postcards down and dropped them in outgoing mail, thinking today is the deadline, so all is cool! THEN I found out our mailman had come early. They will not be postmarked until tomorrow. There was no way or me to retrieve them and take them to another mailing facility. =( Will this affect my ratings?

I would message your partners if you are going to be late. Most people understand that this is suppose to be fun and that things happen. But the key is to communicate!

I have received a postcard of a Florida map. The lady has put a star where she lives, but unfortunately she hasn't said who she is, so I can't rate at this time. I still have 4 to receive and haven't been able to eliminate anyone for a name yet.

If the lady in question reads this, could she please let me know who she is so that I am able to rate.

she's one of my partner's, but no I haven't received anything from her yet (unless she's the partner who hasn't signed her name on the postcard I received yesterday).

If I haven't rated you yet (there are 3 people) its because I've got to go collect post from the university still. If they're not there tomorrow I'll contact you and let you know its not arrived yet! (If you've not posted it, or posted late, then pm me and let me know to wait!)

If you haven't recieved from your partner yet or got flaked, I am sorry! I do my best to only have people who will partake like they said they would and to not have flakers. I assure you I went through the profiles. I can not angel for the 5 that appear to be flakers but if it is important to you then please let me know and I will try to send one out to you! If anyone would like to angel for these people please let me know also!! Thank you!

5 flakers out of 134 isn't really that bad. And this is suppose to be fun!

One postcard arrived yesterday, it was postmarked from the 10th of January, so they can just take a long time...

I heard back from the other two saying they have posted, its just not arrived yet, so... I'm happy.
