ZMACS May: Strata Trifold

Thanks to all participating in the ZMACS survey -- it really helped me to gather ideas (& wool)!

Strata/ layers -- what a great opportunity to rip paper, try Zentangling, play with watercolors and fibers, etc. Here are some fun ideas about layers of rock from the internet: Zentangled Strata, torn paper designs from Starwalt, paint strata on canvas by Ed of Swarez, a geology in art blog FULL of ideas!, Diana Godfrey's exhibit The Influence of Strata, Richard C. Blomfield's Landscape Strata. I will post some more ideas below as I find them.

Trifold art is art in 3 pieces that folds up in order to mail: here are 2 brochure-fold ideas, a trifold can also have different size "wings"/ panels, you can use hinges to attach the panels together, a pinterest page on trifold cards, and finally a built in easel for a rectangular or a circular trifold card.

The details: make one piece of trifold art, in any media, with the theme of strata/ geological rock layers. Send it to one partner. Be curious and adventurous! I will angel any unsent swaps, even if I do so at a glacial pace! Open to all ZMACS members in good standing.
