A-B-C Matchbox Fill

Like the idea. I have a few things to do and I had to drop alot of swaps to get housework, birthdays and yardwork done. However, I am a matchbox swap junkie, soooooo since I have some time to sign up for this one, I will be back! I'm already thinking of things .. and even things for Q, X and Y. Those might be hard :D

I am a newbie - and THANKS for letting me join in! This is my first swap for matchboxes, and I was so excited about this idea, that I worked on the project yesterday.

i can't help myself, i'm a newbie - i have to comment again.....my project is done and did i have fun fun fun. i just could not wait to start and finish. i picked a theme using mostly the letter C for the handmade matchbox, and i carried over the theme, to include a handmade miniature book that measures 1 inch by half inch and also included a handmade piece of jewelry. The book and piece of jewlery will be placed inside the box. i AM hooked and i will continue to make these little treasures. elizabeth4510, what a GREAT idea you had, to do the alphabet and i look forward to the remaining letters!

im so glad you enjoy it so much! i myself have never done a matchbox swap or decorated one. like willow said im a bit nervous about some of the harder letter of the ABCs...i have a feeling alot of the items sent i wil lend up using on ATCs and such!

How about us from non-English countries... can we use our own language when we make the box? example:aurinko=sun

hmmm...i think that would make thinks a bit hard...I mean if it is a ABC swap..i want to be able to see the ABC items...if i got a sun in it...it would be confusing...so i am thinking English only...but that was a good question

HI -- when are we going to find out who our partner is?

if I know elizabeth, which I don't personally but I kow her from her posts, she'll be screening all the participents to make sure they are all squeaky clean and everyone is likely to receive your swap. Trust me a delay in receiving partners is the sign of a good host!

If any one who receives me as their partner wishes to do it in their native language then please do as long as you send me a letter explaining the conversion in words :)

yah there was a delay because my computer crashed and i could not get to the computer.

i recieved my first matchbox from the baby pink and baby blue matchbox....i did not know they were the smaller oens so anyone who recieves from ME will be recieving the bigger ones! I( asked the host is the size i used- and gave dimensions- and she said that was right...so my partner wil lget spoiled :D

Luna girl I have just realised I have probably not packaged mine well enough, what with this being my first matchbox and all I'm still learning. If it doesn't make it or it gets a bit mangled let me know and I'll rereate. I hope you like the little extra item I put in too. I'm not giving too much away but I liked it so much I had to do one for me too!

I received from Marianne today too! A truely wonderful matchbox with some lovely charms and a teeny tiny bottle in there too! I'm going to cherish it as my first ever matchbox!

I'm torn as to whether to use the items I'm sent for this series of swaps or whether to keep them all together. I have warm visions of myself in years to come opening them up and still being surprised at the contents! Is this only me?

Oh my gosh ... Cloverst! LOL. As you know by now, I needed that coffee. The pakage arrived to day and wasn't mangled at all! The little picture was a bit bendy, but the matchbox was great. You used a nice and strong box! Thanks so much! I loved all the items. It was neat to get British coins too. I loved the postcard of all the mon picutres -- very nice extra. You out alot of thought into the items. Thanks very much! :-)

ellawitch: I received the ABC matchbox and it was great! Thank you so much for the care and effort you put into making it. It seems as if you read my profile; the matchbox was made with many of my favorite colors, I love old movies so the mini Audrey Hepburn photo was neat, the cameo button had that vintage look...all of it was so very thoughtful in its presentation. I plan to display this special creation in my house for more to see, along with your letter. Thanks again!
