Description:

This is the ninth in a series of JournalPals swaps. In these swaps, you will be provided a topic on which to make a journal entry. Your journaling can be written (hand or typed), visual, or a combination of the two. Make whatever type of journal entry you would like -- however long or short, and send it on to 1 partner. You will send just the single entry, not a book.

The topic for this swap is Thanksgiving Reflections. By the time you mail this entry, Thanksgiving will have passed. Make a journal entry about your Thanksgiving preparations, the day itself, your feelings about and/or memories of Thanksgivings past. When was your favorite Thanksgiving ever? What made it so memorable? Make an entry of any thoughts/images that come to mind about Thanksgiving -- either this year's even or years past.

I will limit JournalPals swaps to those with 4.5 ratings or higher and whose current swaps have been sent. I've found that swaps with a large number of people tend to have a lot of flakers, so I will limit the swap to 25 people. If I have to drop people because we have too many sign ups, I will keep people who have successfully participated in previous JournalPals swaps. I will do this so that swappers are more likely to be matched up more than once and have a chance to get to know each other. You don't have to participate in ALL previous JournalPals swaps to be included. I know that some topics won't be appealing to some.

I have created a group blog where swap members can post their journal entry after it has been mailed and received. You can either scan and post an image or type your entry. This is not a requirement, just an option. I plan to post all of my entries for this swap here. If you would like to post to this blog, e-mail me and I'll give you access. Click on the link above to see the blog.

Please post if you have any questions. I'm looking forward to creating these regular swaps and getting to know fellow journalers on Swap-Bot!

i am going to have to drop from this swap, here in australia we dont actually celebrate thanksgiving. i thought maybe i could write and journal all the things i am thankful for but i realise that isnt the same theme idea so i will miss this one and sign up for the next topic.

I understand, tkoufus. I didn't think about this topic excluding folks outside the U.S. when I set it up. Sorry about that! I'll try and keep that in mind for future swaps. See you on the next one!
