Description:

Take leaves from different trees that are still soft & pliable. To make your background, rub the vein side of the leaf on a stamp pad. On a light sheet of cardstock, you will press the leaf onto the cardstock. I used a sponge to press on the leaf to transfer the ink. On some of the leaves, I spread some of the ink just outside the leaf, like a border around the leaf.

Experiment with the look you want. Some of the leaves I was able to go from the ink pad to the cardstock, while with other leaves I found I like the look of spritzing it with water with a fine mist. Play with this to see what look you like best.

To get the color onto the leaves, I used a brayer but, you can use your fingers. I did wear rubber gloves for this because we were going out for dinner & I didn't want ink on my fingers.

Use several colors. I used Fall colors but you do not have to. This is your background. Finish the card anyway you want but, please do not just slap on some stickers & call it done.

This card is to be unsigned by you. It is for your partner to use so, please include an envelope.

This looks fun to try. Watching until I've experimented first.

I was having so much fun with this that I made several sheets of it. You can leave the sheet full & cut as needed or you can cut the leaves out to add to your art work.

Challenge, see if it works for me first...
