PBS: Quick Postcard #1: Movie Recommendations

The purpose of this swap is to make someone's day a little brighter, without needing to spend a great deal of money-- just the cost of a postcard and a stamp! It's all profile-based, and a lot of thought and care squeezed into a small space :)

If this is popular, I'll be happy to host more quick profile-based postcard swaps in the future, with the card and message to be based on our partners' profiles.

All group members maintain well-filled-out profiles and meet the requirement of at least a 4.98 rating to join. In the unlikely event that it's necessary, I will angel this swap after you have attempted to contact your partner and honestly rated a "1" for a no-send.

Step 1:
Before signing up: double-check to be sure that you have some films, tv shows, books, genres, etc. that you currently enjoy listed on your profile, as well as visual images you'd like on a postcard, so your partner can send you a great card with personalized recommendations that will interest you.

Step 2:
Once partners are assigned:
♦ read your partner's entire profile
♦ based on that profile, choose or buy a postcard that is sure to please your partner
♦ write at least 5 titles of movies that you recommend to your partner based on the things you KNOW s/he likes (feel free to say why or elaborate).
♦ affix proper postage and send the postcard to your partner ("naked," as they say...meaning not in an envelope)
♦ rejoice! for you have connected to another human being in a fun and easy way, and will have personalized recommendations on their way to you as well!

Step 3:
Remember to rate your partner once you've received your postcard. Please rate anyone a 5 as long as they meet the above criteria. Hearts are of course at your own discretion.

We will have 1 week from the time partners are assigned to prepare and send this swap.
I'm aware that this is a quick swap, but PLEASE do not sign up if you don't currently have time to choose a card with care, make thoughtful recommendations and post it to your partner by the send date.
