Welcome to the New Year - New Handbag Swap. If you are like me I love shoulder bags/purses. So why not get a new handbag/purse for the New ar. This is a sewing swap only. No purchased handbags or purses. The minimum size no smaller than 6". Purse must be made from good quality fabric and can include embellishments. When you sign up please leave your color recommendations for your swap partner. Bag design or pattern used is up to your swap partner. Please do your best work and no non senders. You must have a rating of 4 or above to participate. I will ban anyone with a no send on swaps within the last 2 months. New swappers are welcome but do sign up for another easy swap to get a rating. Welcome aboard!!

Hi does it have to be quilt as I have many handbags that are handmade but all of beutiful material and handsewn with sequins and beads that are imported?

Hi, it has to be made from 100% cotton fabric and how you embellish is up to you but it must be a purse or handbag. No tote bags.

Just curious how strict you are about the 100% cotton. I have lovely wools, linens, and other materials that will make gorgeous purses without being only cotton. Thanks! =) - MaLora

I have edited the description of the swap to include the use of other fabrics beside cotton. What you arrange with your swap partner is up to you but I will not be responsible if the arrangements are agreed upon by both people and you do not like what you receive.

I love color combinations like hot pink/lime green, hot pink/bright teal, purple/black, and pink/lavender. I love things funky, fuzzy, or glittery.

I love shoulder bags in bright colours (no pink lol) and all sorts of silly shiny and glittery things. I also love embellishments. Favourit colour combinations are black/purple, black/lilac or all types of strange colour combinations :)

My favorite color is blue, all shades of blue. I also love red and beautiful warm browns and glittery stuff. I hope this helps.

I hope I have done the right thing. (crossed fingers) I'm not sure what a tote bag is. Mine has an applique design and closes with a toggle.
