Road Trip Care Kit

I'm planning a road trip this summer to help my brother move across the country. But, spending at least 6 days in a car with him, an 8-year-old, a 3-year-old, and a dog will be challenging to say the least.

So, I'm preparing a road trip kit. As I'm planning, I realized others may be in the same boat as me and looking for ideas or just want something fresh that they haven't thought of. This swap is not just for those travelling with kids. I've added modifications below for adult trips also.

The idea of this swap is to add a couple ideas for your partner and get a couple ideas and resources yourself.You will have one partner who you will send the following to. Please comment below what how many will be in your car and what ages will be on your trip so they can customize your package as needed:

1) One handmade game or toy. If it is all adults on a trip, it can be another special treat or activity.

2) 3 different printable activities - like coloring sheets, bingo, a scavenger hunt, or a game on paper. See notes below for details on this.

3) One tip you've learned from previous road trips - just written on a note card or even an index card is fine. Be sure to make clear it is a tip.

4) A short letter about your trip, where you are going, any special activities (Wally World anyone?), and who is going with you.

Printables Guidelines:

*Send enough copies for everyone in the vehicle minus the driver (in my case four people, so three copies), but no more than 5 copies are required.

*These should be different types of activities - for example, not just three different BINGO cards. By the way, if you do coloring sheets, they can be just for the kids and one for each.

*If the car is all adults, please skip coloring sheets and you can also send one of some kind of reading item instead of an activity (a short story, some poems, a page of jokes.)

Because the first item may require some time, the minimum rating is 4.99 and newbies will be evaluated case-by-case. I reserve the right to ban as needed. US only due to postage costs but feel free to host an international one.
