TCHH ~ Seal Now, Swap Later ~ B
Group:The Christian Homestead
Swap Coordinator:ChrisAnne (contact)
Swap categories: Challenges  Miscellaneous
Number of people in swap:17
Location:Regional - USA Only
Type:Type 2: Flat mail
Last day to signup/drop:April 22, 2016
Date items must be sent by:May 6, 2016
Number of swap partners:1
Description:

These are called Seal Now, Swap later as you will put the swap together and seal the envelope as soon as you sign up. Then, when partners are assigned, you simply address the envelope and drop it in the mail. I know, I know, you want to personalize your swap, but that's the trick. These are to be "sealed" before you know with whom you will "swap."

Each swap will be a short note on the card or stationary of your choice and include some small tuck in or flat goodie that begins with the theme letter. This swap is the letter B. So your goodie should either start with the letter B or tie into the letter B in some way. Things like: banana bread recipe, butterfly anything, bird cage stationary, Bible study resources, and any other great B item your mind can conceive.

Thank you to @tyingknots for suggesting that the item can also be home made. What a special blessing that would be to receive a quality home made item.

So, put on your thinking caps and begins picking out and sealing up your B swap.

Short Version ~ 1 partner ~ short note to unknown partner ~ include an B item of sender's choice ~ seal your note and item before partners are assigned ~ once partners are assigned, address and send your envelope

Feel free to ask any questions. This swap is USA only, but I am happy to host an international version if there is interest. Just let me know.

One card one item correct?

ChrisAnne 03/20/2016 #

@sherig47 YES, it is one card with one item to one partner. You may choose to put more than one item inside, but only one is expected.

Can the item be hand made ?

Babsmomof5 04/ 7/2016 #

Mine is sealed! I couldn't stop myself, so my partner will be getting quite a few extra "B's" lol! So fun @ChrisAnne

@Babsmomof5 I am not surprised by that with you at all. You are always so generous. I almost put a few "box tops" in my envelope, but I save all of those for you!

Babsmomof5 04/11/2016 #

Oh, @ChrisAnne thank you so much for the sweet words...and all the box tops! We got back a check this spring that enabled us to buy two of my daughters books to her first grade curriculum, with a bit leftover (which is pretty awesome!)

Does the note card have to have the letter "B" on it like the one in the pic or can it just be a regular note card?

ChrisAnne 04/19/2016 #

Cassie, notecard can be anything. Sorry I missed this question.

cayers2 04/21/2016 #

As long as it has letter B in it it's ok? For example: Panda Bear, Trinket Box, Turtle Bracelet. Those are just some examples

ChrisAnne 04/21/2016 #

Any of those are great ideas. Part of the title of the item should start with B which all of your ideas do. Things like Box (of any kind), Buttons, birds (on notecards, postcards, washi, etc) butterflies on anything, Bear (panda, black, teddy, etc). I think you all get it.

Take a brief moment in your note to share what B item you picked and what the tie in to B is for you.

An envelope went out to my partner today. Enjoy!
