Number of swap partners:1
Description:

This will be a series of swaps, generally run each fortnight. I've seen a number of variations of this swap and thought it would be fun (and cheaper!) to do an Aussie version.

You may join in at any time, but please commit to the series.

If this is your first round: Choose a postcard to send to your partner. This will end up being yours to keep, so choose one you like! Write YOUR OWN address on the postcard and then one line at the top - The date, your name/swapbot name and the city and state you are from. Put postage on the postcard so it can get sent back to you when it is full. Then, send the postcard to your partner IN AN ENVELOPE. (Which means you will have postage on the postcard and on the envelope you send it in, just for this first round).

If you are continuing on from previous rounds: With the postcard you received from the last round, add another line - the date, your name/swapbot name and the city and state you are from. Then send the postcard IN AN ENVELOPE to your partner.

When you receive a postcard that is full, send it home WITHOUT AN ENVELOPE to the original owner of the postcard (whose address will be on the postcard itself).

At the end of the series, you will get back the postcard you started and can see where it travelled - hopefully it will visit many different places across Australia!

The more people we get to join this series, the further your postcard will travel. Please note there is no obligation to sign up to every swap in the series, but please do join as many as you can to make it fun for everyone. You can also drop out of the series at any time by talking to me and the other swap participants to try to get your postcard sent back to you.

For each round, please try to only fill ONE line on the postcard so as to leave as much room as possible for lots of rounds. Of course, if it's a small postcard you may need 2 lines, this is ok.

When you receive a postcard you send home, you may start a new postcard for yourself and send to your swap partner, or if you do not wish to start another postcard, send a note/letter etc to your partner so that they get something and can rate you.

Please don't hoard someone else's postcard. If you decide you no longer want to participate in the series, please talk to me about sending any postcards you have to myself or to the original owner.

All swappers allowed who are in good standing. Due to the nature of the series I will ban anyone with questionable ratings, although I think we will be fine in this group :)

Any questions, please ask :)

If we get partnered with the person whose postcard it is, and there's still room on the card, do we post it in an envelope anyway so they can sign it again?

Sure do Melanie! Unfortunately that's what might happen in a swap like this, and with an average of 6 people in this swap cycle, it's likely that the card will be signed by the same person more than once. Not so fun to receive your own postcard back to you, but just how it is :( - i will say though that if you receive your own postcard back to you in an envie still with room, it's up to you whether you want to write on it again or leave the room for others - as long as you send it on in the next round, you can choose to write on your own card again or not :)
