Description:

I started my love of paper crafts back in the 90s when I went to a craft fair and saw someone doing a demonstration on making cards using rubber stamps. Since then my rubber stamp collection has ebbed & flowed as I dabbled in other forms of paper crafting.

This year, I was I was blessed to find several nice sets of rubber stamps at my local Goodwill store which was sparked my interest in using them again. There is just something relaxing about stamping an image, coloring it and making it into a nice card to share with someone - to brighten their day. [It kind of reminds me of all the adult coloring books on the market these days.] Edited: This card is not for your partner's use. You are to write a letter inside for your partner to read.

So, here is what we will do:

  • Choose 1 (or more) rubber stamps from your collection (at least 1 stamp should be a design that you can color in).
  • Stamp it, color it, and adhere it to a background layer (or layers).
  • Attach it to a folded card.
  • It's optional if you want to stamp a greeting inside the card.
  • Write a note to your partner inside the card.
  • Put your card inside an envelope.
  • Stamp a few images on it (it's optional if you want to color these).
  • Put on proper postage.
  • Send to your partner.

In case there was any question about whether this card was to be for your partner's use or you were sending it with a note inside for them to read, it's the latter. I've edited it above as well. :)
