Friendship Bracelet Fun!

Remember making friendship bracelets when you were a kid? Well, time to grab some embroidery floss or yarn and get to knotting!

For this swap, you will create 2 friendship bracelets. The pattern is up to you, as are the colors you use. Check the comments below for the length your partners need as we all have different size wrists (or ankles). You must use at least 2 different colors, but you may choose to do more if you'd like. Check your partners' profiles to see if they have favorite colors listed, but to reiterate, you may choose whatever colors you'd like.

Like I mentioned above, you may use either embroidery floss or yarn to create the bracelets. I didn't even realize you could use yarn, but I have recently seen some made with yarn and they're pretty too! Keep in mind that yarn does produce a thicker bracelet. Aside from that, you can use any pattern and follow it with yarn instead of embroidery floss if you'd prefer to make them with yarn.

You can choose to make your bracelet close with a button, tying it in a knot, or do the slip-knot style that allows you parent to put it on and take it off as they'd like. It's up to you. There are free tutorials online for all three styles.

You will send each partner one bracelet. They should be sent unfastened (in case yours closes by a regular knot). Send them in a way that they will not get torn up in the mail (putting it inside a notecard works well).

Make sure to include a note with your ID and the name of the swap to assure that your partners know how to find the swap and their partner to rate you!

This is open to newbies with at least one rating (electronic swaps count). I will angel if needed but I hope that nobody flakes.

When you get your bracelets, rate your partners accordingly. Remember you are not rating based on if you like the color, pattern, or their skill level! If you get a friendship bracelet in the approximate length you requested and they included a note with their ID and swap name, they should get a 5.

When you join the swap, comment below with a length you'd like. Nothing over 12 inches please to keep it fair! When creating your bracelets, keep in mind this is the finished length and cut your yarn/floss accordingly. Also, keep in mind that bracelets may be a tad bit smaller or longer than requested but your partner will do their best. Within a half an inch should be considered correct.

• Filled out profile
• US only this time. I may create anew international version later.
• At least one completed and rated swap.
• No recent ones or threes.
• No unexplained ones or threes.
• Minimum rating 4.8 for this swap.
