Description:

There have been swaps for ATCs featuring mostly this or that colour, but let's take that to extreme. For this ATC, you are allowed to use only one shade of some colour. Not only that there may not be even a tiny speck of other colour than, say, blue - also the blue must be the same shade all over the ATC!

So... what makes it then an ATC, not just a piece of solid-colour cardboard, you ask? Unless you have already guessed it - texture!

You can achieve it in different ways. One way would be to attach your pieces to the base, and then paint all the ATC with a solid colour (as on swap picture). Another way would be to use something that already is of solid colour. This would be especially easy to do for clay and yarn artists, but maybe also if you carve some material like wood or rubber or metal. You could also use solid colour cardboard and cut/punch/emboss/glue pieces together to make an ATC (but no white edges for cut-out shapes!). If you sew or embroider, make sure the thread is the same shade as the fabric, unless you cover fabric all up. But don't just cut a piece of black velvet and call it "A close-up of a black rat"!

Whatever material or method you use - the main thing is that it must be all of one and the same shade; and of course, to make your art piece an ATC in the first place, its dimensions must be 3.5 inch (~8,9 cm) and 2.5 inch (~6,4 cm).

The shade, the medium, the theme, the orientation (portrait or landscape) are all sender's choice. The back of the ATC with the information about art and artist may use more than one colour. ;)

When you receive an ATC - I know I said not one speck of another shade allowed, but if you see it is accidental, not purposeful, let it be (a speck because an embroidery thread shifted during mailing or because paint fell off is OK; using a black dot on all-white ATC to mark the nose of "a polar bear in snow" is not). Also, for obvious reasons, the ATC you receive probably won't fit in a sleeve due to its thickness - don't sign up if you are not fine with that.

No swappers with unexplained low ratings, no 1s owned to active swappers, no double or underage profiles, or other kinds of questionable swappers, please. You are welcome to PM me (with proof of course) if you spot any in my swap.
