Description:

We continue trying out some different writing techniques. Please join us whether you’re an experienced writer or not. This will be a series of swaps with a different technique practiced each time. You may write poetry, fiction, or non-fiction-- Your choice.

This time we’ll discuss plot twists. You know what it is, how it can add a whole new spark, and it can happen in any genre of story. It’s an unexpected change ("twist") in the direction or expected outcome of the plot.

Wikipedia: “A plot twist is a radical change in the expected direction or outcome of the plot of a novel, film, television series, comic, video game, or other work of narrative. It is a common practice in narration used to keep the interest of an audience, usually surprising them with a revelation. Some "twists" are foreshadowed.” I like this site as well because of the list of types of plot twists http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/PlotTwist

You are not required to share an example of your own work unless you want to. You may describe something from your own work or choose something from someone else’s novel, movie, television show or other source. Something you like and believe is a good example of the plot twist.

Rules: As always, don't sign up if you have any doubt you can commit to it. It's so disappointing not to receive an attempt. This may be hand-written or printed/typed; Send to 2 partners. Profiles will be checked before assignment made and any person may be dropped due to questions about their profile. And don't forget to communicate with me and your partners if needed.
