Description:

I thought it would be fun to have a mix CD filled with body parts (not literally, of course lol). Any songs you can think of with bits of the body - we've all got lots with hearts and heads and eyes but what else is lurking on our iTunes?

Rules: - one CD for each partner

  • Minimum 14 tracks

  • Jewel case not necessary but must have some sort of cover and a track listing

-Sender's choice but if your partner HATES a particular genre then try to be accomodating

-Newbies with filled profile allowed but contact me first -4.8 or above for seasoned swappers with NO no-sends in the last 6 months

-all swaps to be sent by the date above. If you're going to be late, let your partner know.

I will check all participants and if there is anything I'm not happy about I will ban as I want everyone to have fun on this swap.

This is my first swap I've hosted so hopefully I've not missed anything - if you have any problems or questions then give me a shout. :)

Can the same CD be sent to both partners?

shona 08/16/2008 #

Yeah that's no problem. TBH I think that's what most people do. If you want to take the time to do two mixes then go for it. :)

does the body part have to be in the title, or can it be in the lyrics?

shona 08/20/2008 #

I would try to keep it to the title but if you have to put it in one that it's in the lyrics then try to limit it to just the one song. If you do choose a song that the lyrics talk about a body part then let your partner know what it is and why you chose it. :)

what is your feeling on blood and tears? body parts or not?

shona 08/25/2008 #

I would say not. Think solid body parts lol. No bodily fluids (eurgh!).

magickmaker17 08/26/2008 #

ok, thanks. I had already eliminated them from my list, but am glad for the clarification.

how about hair? can we use head, hearts and eyes or no?

bethanne 08/27/2008 #

I'm using all of them (hair, head, hearts, etc.), so I hope it counts :)

bookwyrmm 08/27/2008 #

I know I found some hair ones, but I am trying to do it without the head, hearts, and eyes.

magickmaker17 08/28/2008 #

I'm trying to do it without the heads, hearts, and eyes too. I think it'll be more fun that way.

I think hair, head, hearts, eyes, etc are perfect. You can go obscure (more fun that way) but like we said probably avoid bodily fluids. I'm trying to think of the best way to phrase it but think parts of the body that are there all the time iykwim. Bits might fall out/flake off but the whole is still there (does that make sense?).

bookwyrmm 08/30/2008 #

Good. I think I might have to use a couple hearts, heads, and eyes (even though I am trying not to).

I just couldn't resist some of the eyes songs or hearts, but heads weren't too many, so I kept them. Such a fun mix!
